One and a Half Pots For Mostafavi

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Clayton Mozdzen raised to 105,000 on the button and Alex Mostafavi called in the big blind. Both players checked through the {10-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} flop and the dealer handed the pair the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Mostafavi had already checked in the dark and Mozdzen bet 60,000; a bet that Mostafavi called. The river card was the {2-Spades} and when both players checked, and turned their cards over, the spoils were shared.

Mostafavi{A-Hearts} {3-Clubs}
Mozdzen{A-Clubs} {5-Spades}

Then in the following hand, Mostafavi limped from the button, and picked the blinds and antes up after himself and Lucille Cailly checked down to the river on a {K-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {5-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {6-Hearts} board. Mostafavi showed {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades}.

Just When You Think You Have Seen It All

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

When you consider that you are 11 places away from being crowned the EPT Grand Final Champion and collecting €1,600,000 in prize money, you wouldn't think you would see this.

Alex Mostafavi raised from under the gun when he made it a whopping 185,000 to play. The action folded around to Lucille Cailly on the button and she was completely flummoxed. After a long hard think she decided to make the call and the pair shared a flop.

Flop: {9-Hearts} {6-Clubs} {5-Spades}

"I am all-in," said Mostofavi before the last card had even settled.

Cailly's head dropped into her arms and she looked distraught. Meanwhile Mostofavi just started reading his book; the calmest man in the building. After a while Mostofavi turned around to Cailly and said, "You are a great player and I would dearly love to see you with me on the final table."

With that Cailly folded and Mostafavi showed her pocket Kings, which produced a sigh of relief because Cailly had folded pocket jacks.

Vadzim Markushevski Eliminated in 10th Place (€95,000)

Vadzim Markushevski
Vadzim Markushevski

Vadzim Markushevski busted in very similar way to Andoni Larrabe, but because his exit was 30 seconds after Larrabe's, he made an extra €15,000.

Rodrigo Caprioli opened to 110,000 from under the gun and tank-called after Markushevski shoved for 850,000 from the small blind.

Markushevski: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Caprioli: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The board ran {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Clubs} to make Caprioli two-pair.

We're down to nine players who will all reconvene on the TV table until we lose one more player. The new draw and chip counts will be coming up after a short break.

Cailly Has All Off The Support (And a Few More Chips)

Nível 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Sergio Castelluccio raised to 100,000, Lucille Cailly three-bet to 230,000 (off a stack of 1,500,000) and Castelluccio made the call.

Flop: {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} {5-Diamonds}

Castelluccio check-called a 260,000 Cailly bet.

Turn: {6-Spades}

Castelluccio checked for a second time and Cailly moved all-in. Castelluccio made the most of his dwell time, but always looked like folding, which is exactly what he did. The pot was handed to Cailly and her rail gave her a rapturous round of applause.
