Day 1a of the €560 EAPT Bratislava Main Event Begins at 6:00 p.m.
After Barcelona and Bucharest in 2023, the EA Poker Tour continues its European tour with a new festival at the Banco Casino in Bratislava.
Earlier in the series, 207 entries were recorded in the €250 EAPT Cup, won by Poland's Krzysztof Zwierz (€10,210). But now, it's time for the €560 Main Event which begins today, Wednesday, January 24. It is the first out of six flights, including an online flight which took place on Sunday, January 21.
€180,000 is guaranteed on the Main Event, but €20,000 in packages are also added to the prize pool, with the final four players qualifying for the EAPT Grand Final to be held this fall in Cyprus.

Day 1a kicks off at 6:00 p.m. local time with 40,000-chip starting stacks and 40-minute levels, starting on blinds of 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. Late registration will close at the end of Level 9, with a single reentry allowed per flight. All Day 1s will end when 15% of the field remains, and players who qualify for Day 2 will be in the money.

After Claudiu Badea limped from the cutoff, Rami Koren raised from the button. He was called by both players in the blinds, and by Badea.
The flop came J♠7♠7♣, but everybody checked. Then on the turn 2♦, Yehuda Yosef in the big blind led out for 1,500. Badea folded while Koren called. But Rostyslav Sabishchenko in the small blind raised to 6,000 and made everybody fold.
The Ukrainian player revealed 2♣2♠ for a full house and scooped the pot.

Yaniv Shushan opened to 700 from under the gun, but Miky Ernovitz in the cutoff three-bet to 2,000. The button and the blinds folded to Shushan, who called.
The dealer fanned a flop of 10♠4♠3♣, and Ernovitz continued for 1,500. Then after Shushan check-called, Ernovitz fired a second barrel of 2,300 on the turn 5♠. Shushan check-called once again.
On the river 2♥, Ernovitz bet 2,000. But this time, Shushan check-folded.

After he cracked aces with king-queen on the previous hand, Yurii Savin bet 700 from the button and Ioannis Giannakopoulos defended from the big blind.
Savin continued for 500 on the 8♦6♦9♦ flop, but Giannakopoulos check-raised to 1,200. Savin called, then snap-called when Giannakopoulos bet 2,500 on the turn 7♣.
The A♠ came on the river, and Giannakopoulos asked for 6,500. Savin thought about it for a sew seconds, but folded A♦9♥ face up. Giannakopoulos then showed 3♥2♥ to take the pot.

Puczylowski Goes All-In

Heads-up on a board of A♠7♥J♠4♦ with approximately 10,000 on the pot, Marcin Puczylowski in the cutoff bet 7,000. Konstantinos Giannoutas in early position went into the tank, and eventually called.
The 8♥ landed on the river, and after Giannoutas checked, Puczylowski moved all-in for 20,600. It didn't take long for Giannoutas to fold.
