The action was picked up on a turn of Q7710, with 25,000 already in the pot. Cesar Garcia checked from the small blind to Daniel Zaremba in the cutoff, who bet 16,000.

Garcia called before checking the 10 river. Zaremba sized up to 32,000, causing Garcia to spend one time bank. During his second shot clock, he made the call. Zaremba tabled 8765 for trip sevens and won the pot.

Come On and Slam, and Welcome to the €10,300 PLO Grand Slam Championship

Championship Trophy
Championship Trophy

After a successful start to the PLO Grand Slam series, the time has come for the flagship event on the schedule. Diamond Poker Series' €10,300 PLO Championship is the second tournament of the week with a €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool, and will kick off today at 3 p.m local time at Arena Casino Tirana.

Although similar in prize pool, the Championship differs from its smaller Opener sibling, which was conquered by Aaron Pahlawani yesterday, in many aspects. It will be a three-day affair, with a single starting flight. Although levels on Day 1 are the same 45 minutes, they will increase to 60 minutes on Day 2 and beyond.

Just like the Opener, late registration will remain open until the start of Level 12, the third level of Day 2 in this case, and unlimited reentries are available for those with extra deep pockets. The starting stack amounts to 200,000 chips and the blinds will start at 500/1,000 with a 1,000 big blind ante. Day 1 concludes after Level 9: 4,000/8,000 (8,000), scheduled to be around 10:30 p.m. local time.
