Hands #45-46: Sontheimer and Holz Steal Some

• Nível 11: 3,000-6,000, 1,000 ante

Hand #45: Sam Trickett raised to 15,000 on the button with {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Steffen Sontheimer defended his big blind with {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The flop landed {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Spades} and Sontheimer checked to Trickett who continued for 14,000.

Sontheimer stuck around and the {6-Spades} arrived on the turn. The action was checked through and the {4-Diamonds} river completed a straight on board. Sontheimer fired at it for 32,000 and the four spades on board scared Trickett off.

Hand #46: Fedor Holz put in a button raise to 15,000 with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Mike Watson called from the big blind with {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The flop came {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Watson checked it over to Holz.

Holz continued for 22,000 and Watson made the call to see the {2-Spades} turn card.

Watson checked again before Holz bet 67,000. Watson called and the {3-Spades} completed the board. After a final check from Watson, Holz used a time bank chip, before loading up and firing for 163,000.

Watson couldn’t call with just second pair and Holz’s bluff got through.
