Stephen Chidwick:
Mike Watson:
The on the turn and on the river were blanks and Chidwick departed already well into the break.
The players have gone on their 45-minute dinner break. With the hand of Chidwick versus Watson running into the break, just 37 minutes of that break remain right now.
David Steicke and Bryn Kenney have just bought into the event. Mikita Badziakouski and David Peters have just reentered. Right now, 18 entries total with 12 players in.
Mike Watson has been pretty active so far this level as the aggressor in three separate consecutive hands, winning all without showdown.
The first saw Watson raise it up to 6,000 from the button with Fedor Holz electing to three-bet from the big blind to 24,500. Watson took his time before four-betting to 60,000, which was enough to get Holz to lay it down.
The second hand saw Watson make it 6,000 from the cutoff with both Holz and Steffen Sontheimer making the call from the small and big blind respectively.
All three players check the flop and after checks from Holz and Sontheimer on the turn Watson’s 10,000 delayed continuation bet was enough to take it down.
The third hand saw Sam Trickett open to 5,500 from under the gun only to see Watson three-bet to16,500 from under the gun plus one. Trickett quickly four-bet to 42,000 but just as quickly folded when Watson five-bet shoved.
All that action saw Watson edge slightly in front of Holz to snag the chip lead.
Sam Greenwood got the last of his chips in with up against the of Nick Petrangelo. The runout wasn't all too exciting and Greenwood exited the tournament area.
With now just 10 players remaining, Mike Watson has moved tables to balance.
