Michael Dix opened to 23,000 and Xixiang Luo three-bet, making it 75,000.
It folded back to Dix and he pushed in for another 280,000. Lou called with the , but was on the wrong side of this classic cooler, with Dix holding the .
Dix doubled up after a board brought little in the way of surprises.
The action folded around to Brendon Rubie and he raised to 25,000. From one seat over in the cutoff, Brian Payne announced all in and all other opponents folded. Rubie asked the dealer for a count and once it had been determined to be 159,000 in total, he took a sip from his coffee.
Half a minute later, Rubie made the call and found himself behind with the worse kicker:

The in the window was bad news for Payne and he failed to regain the lead after the board ran out to bust the Aussie in 8th place for A$14,645.
From the small blind, Michael Dix limped and Xixiang Luo checked his option in the big blind. On the flop , Dix bet 30,000 and was called before firing 52,000 on the turn. Luo raised to 200,000 and won the pot.
Then, Shivan Abdine raised to 36,000 and Joris Ruijs called. On the , the Dutchman quickly check-folded.
Abdine raised to 36,000 once again and Dix three-bet to 75,000. Abdine called and check-called the flop for 67,000. The turn was checked through and Abdine then check-folded the river to a bet worth 87,000.
Last but not least, Dix raised to 32,000 and Luo three-bet to 80,000 with Dix coming along. On the flop, Dix checked and Luo bet. Before the dealer had even verified the amount due, Dix had already sent his cards into the muck.
Dennis Huntly made it 35,000 on the button and Shivan Abdine thought about it for a minute before pushing all in from the small blind.
The big blind folded and Huntly was faced with a decision for his tournament life and 240,000-chip stack. He folded and his $1,000 bounty remains up for grabs as his stack becomes increasingly short.
Brendon Rubie opened to 36,000 and then folded once short stack Dennis Huntly three-bet for 75,000 more.
One hand later, Rubie raised to 36,000 from under the gun and Stephen Woodhead announced all in. The action folded to Joris Ruijs and he asked for an exact count, it was 181,000 in total. Ruijs then looked up the short stack and Rubie quickly got out of the way.

The board ran out and the Brit doubled, almost closing the gap to the Dutchman as well.
Brendon Rubie defended his big blind against a 50,000-chip button raise from Xixiang Luo.
The flop fell and Rubie check-called 65,000. He also check-called 140,000 on the turn and finally, when Lou bet 360,000 on the river, Rubie tossed in a single-chip call.
Luo mucked and Rubie collected the massive pot without showing his hand either.
