In half an hour from now, at 12:10 p.m. local time, the fourth and final flight of the A$1,150 No-Limit Hold'em Opening Event of the 2016 Aussie Millions Poker Championship gets underway. So far, the tournament has generated 703 entries in the previous three flights and the event is well on its way to meeting its guarantee of A$ 1 million.
A bumper field of more than 400 entries is expected and all players that have been eliminated in any of the previous flights can reenter the competition. So far, the fields were mostly filled with local players, but more and more international pros are heading to the Crown Casino in Melbourne for one of the early highlights on the poker calendar.
All participants receive 10,000 in chips and a total of 12 levels of 40 minutes each will be played. There is no dinner break scheduled. Day 1b leader Ferenc Riech still holds the overall lead with 205,700 chips.
Due to the large number of players expected, two locations will be used: Tables 1-23 are located in the Exhibition Hall and all higher numbers can be found in the Crown Poker Room. Up to 57 tables will be in play.
The PokerNews live reporting will be on hand to provide updates from the event until a winner is crowned on Monday, so make sure to tune back in regularly to find out who wins the next LK Boutique ring at the Aussie Millions.
There is a huge crowd building here in the Crown Poker Room, with the queue for registration stretching all the way back to the escalators at the far side of the room. Registration is also being taken at the Exhibition Hall so we are set for a huge field here for Flight 4 of the Opening Event!

Most players have strolled into the Exhibition Hall and two faces immediately caught our attention: Australian Poker Hall of Famer Leo Boxell and former November Niner Jesse Sylvia. Kitty Kuo also just walked in when the cards went in the air.

Only five minutes were played according to the clock and the dealer announced "lost one, 14". Rushing over to see what happened, the cards were already in the muck. Ben Heptinstall confirmed that the chips went to him in a big setup. After a three-way flop of , only Heptinstall called a bet with pocket sixes and the magic fourth six showed up on the turn.
His opponent fired again and Heptinstall check-called before leading the river. His opponent raised to 1,700, Heptinstall reraised to 3,500 and called the shove to see pocket nines for a full house at the other side of the table. What a crazy start for the Australian

While the board reads 354 players already, just ten minutes into this fourth and final flight, that number is growing as we speak.
There is a line up at registration that stretches all the way through the poker room at Crown and with entry available through the first six levels, this flight is big now and getting bigger.
Jack Salter headed over to Exhibition Hall but got a seat over in the poker room while Xuan Liu, Van Marcus and Rory Young are in this tournament section.

Manny Su played bluff catcher rather effectively on the first hand of the day.
On the second, he made a set of kings, but missed out on a little value, playing it slow when a possible flush came on board.
The result was the first two pots of the day being pushed to Su and he's now among the early climbers.

Wenlin Wang, who has several WSOP cashes to his name, along with a few deep runs in Macau, was just spotted in the field. Even more so, the Chinese already had a decent start by taking a big pot and left one opponent with around half the stack.
