The 888poker 2017 Super XL Series is nearing the final weekend but before that, there are still some interesting tournaments on the schedule. On Wednesday there were four events scheduled and each one played down to a winner. Who got a nice payday halfway through the week? Read on and find out!
Event #32: $50,000 Super XL - 8-Max
The seventh day of the 888poker 2017 Super XL Series kicked off with the biggest event - the $109 $50,000 Super XL - 8-Max. For this event, 696 players paid their buy-in to create a total prize pool of $69,600. With that, there was a first-place prize of $13,015.20 and 88 players cashing at least $180.96.
After several hours, the tournament reached the final table of eight players after "YourNemeis" got busted in ninth place for $835.20. On the final table "Beebsterizer" (8th - $1,050.96), "F4sKiL" (7th - $1,566) and "james12627" (6th - $2,436) busted in quick succession.
Croatian player "nomoney4ever" wouldn't win the tournament either after busting in fifth place, while "luckyr1ver" finished in fourth place for a total prize of $5,220. After their eliminations, the tournament saw "Kharmuta" missing out on the final heads-up - he ended up in third place for $6,960.
The final two players made a deal before Russia's "petrofv5501" took the victory for $11,641.36. Ukrainian runner-up "YSoSerious7" finished in second place for $10,769.84.
Event #33: $10,000 Super XL - Mini 8-Max
For players with a much smaller bankroll, again a mini version started; the Mini 8-Max with a buy-in of just $12. In total, the tournament got 1,720 players to create a nice prize pool of $18,748 - almost doubling the guarantee of $10,000. The lion's share of this prize pool went to the Czech Republic's "Tudlenudle", who won the tournament after defeating "h12star" from the Netherlands in the deciding heads-up. "Tudlenudle" got $3,280.90 in his account, while the runner-up received $2,343.50.
Event #34: $25,000 Super XL - Wednesday Challenge
Players who like to play medium buy-in tournaments were in for a treat on Wednesday, because Event #34 of the series had a buy-in of $35. In total there were 1,138 players who registered, creating a total prize pool of $47,328. The eventual winner would have a nice payday with the first-place prize of $8,272.93.
In the end, after almost ten hours of play, it was clear this prize wouldn't be given to anyone. The final three players made a deal where runner-up "igotcaught" got the most money - receiving $7,265.65. Mexico's "mantecaa" won the event for $5,884.95 while third place finisher "ItalianPorn" received $5,629.77.
Event #35: $8,000 Super XL - Turbo 8-Max
Last, but not least, Event #35: $8,000 Super XL - Turbo 8-Max started at 22:00 GMT. This Turbo tournament played down to a winner in just three hours and 27 minutes. It was Poland's "Holly_grail" who ended his Wednesday with a nice payday - he won the tournament for a total prize of $3,183.20.
