Scott Forces a Fold

Nível 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Kara Scott opened from the cutoff with a raise to 4,000. She was called by Mario Portela on the button.

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Scott continued, betting 4,500. Portela thought about it for about a minute before he revealed his {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and folded. Scott smiled and raked in the pot without a showdown.

Lövgren Faces a Check-Raise

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With a board of {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} already in the pot and close to 10,000 already in the middle, one player checked over to Sofia Lövgren. She put out a bet of 6,000. Her opponent thought about it for a second, then check-raised, making it 12,000 to go. Lövegren thought about it for a bit before releasing her hand into the muck and dropping to under 80,000 chips.

From the hijack seat, Haroldo Silva opened with a raise to 4,000. Felipe Ramos called from the cutoff and everyone else folded, bringing the two to a flop.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Silva opened with a bet of 6,000. Ramos thought for a while, toying with his options, then eventually decided to fold, showing his opponent {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a pair of tens and a flush draw.

Silva returned the favor, showing the {A-Diamonds} and he took down the pot.

Ramos Puts Scott to the Test

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We caught up to a pot involving Felipe Ramos and Kara Scott already on the river. The board read {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Scott was first to act from early position. She checked it over to Ramos who put out a bet of 75,000. There was roughly 60,000 in the middle, but the bet was enough to put Scott all in for the remainder of her chips. She thought about it for a long time, then eventually folded her hand, tapping the table as Ramos scooped the big pot.

Brutal River Sends Tiffany Michelle to the Rail

Nível 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Daniel Belatto was first to act. He opened with a raise to 4,000 from under the gun. Carlos Zemella called two seats over. Action folded around to Tiffany Michelle who was in the big blind. She moved all in for a total of 20,100. Belatto shoved all in over the top with a covering stack and Zemella folded bringing the two players to a showdown.

Michelle: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Belatto: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The flop was safe for Michelle when it came {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The turn was also safe when the {5-Spades} fell. The river was extremely brutal though when the {8-Diamonds} peeled off, giving Belatto the winning full house and eliminating Michelle from the tournament.

"Well," Michelle said as she walked away from the table. "That's how it goes."

Prizepool Information for the 888Live São Paulo Main Event Announced!

With 757 total entrants, the prizepool information for the Main Event has been released. Because the guarantee for the tournament was not met, there is a small overlay and the total prizepool has capped out at R$1,000,000 (~$323,907 USD). The winner of the event will receive R$200,000 (~$64,782 USD) while a final table appearance will secure R$17,000 (~$5,506 USD).

The final 264 players will be playing down past the money bubble at 81 players. Past that point, everyone left in the field will be guaranteed at least R$3,100 (~$1,004 USD).

We would also like to make a correction. Because of a typo, Dayane Kotoviezy was listed as the chip leader with 693,000 chips. She actually only has 69,300 and sits closer to an average stack. The true chip leader is Rodrigo Navarro from Brazil who has a stack of 306,200.

Cards are about to hit the air! Shuffle up and deal.
