Moraes Wins Four-Bet Pot

Nível 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Rafael Moraes
Rafael Moraes

Rafael Moraes opened to 6,000 from early position and was called by a player in late position. The small blind then three-bet to 28,000. After some time, Moraes responded with a four-bet to 45,000. Only after the late position player folded was Moraes informed that he had made an illegal raise and so would be forced to raise to the minimum of 50,000. The small blind went into the tank and eventually decided to just call to generate a large pot prior to the flop being dealt.

The small blind checked after the {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop and Moraes continued for 12,000, which, small as it was, got his opponent to fold. "I'm either the best player in the world or the worst," mused the player in the small blind as he watched more than half of his original stack headed Moraes' direction.

Davies Doubles Up

Nível 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

A player in early position opened to 5,000 and Seth Davies moved all in for 46,000 from the cutoff. Action folded back around to the early position player who, after some thought, made the call with the bigger stack to put Davies at risk.

Seth Davies: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Early Position Player: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Davies had his opponent dominated and looked set for a big double up just prior to the final break of the day. The {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop ket him in front though the {q-Diamonds} turn did give his opponent a gutshot. It did not come in on the {5-Diamonds} river, giving Davies a full double.

Magnus Cracks Aces for Huge Pot

Nível 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Nadya Magnus
Nadya Magnus

With over 20,000 in the pot on a {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, Aram Zobian checked in early position, Nadya Magnus bet 8,000 in middle position, Fabian Gumz called on the button, and Zobian raised to 34,500. Magnus then reraised to 75,000, Gumz got out of the way, Zobian put in all the chips, and Magnus called for her 139,000.

Nadya Magnus: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Aram Zobian: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Magnus flopped a set to vault ahead of the bullets, but still needed to hold. The {q-Diamonds} turn left her needing to fade a couple more outs, but the {6-Clubs} river changed nothing, securing the massive pot for Magnus.

Bonomo Outclicked

Nível 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Action folded to the player in the cutoff who opened to 5,000. Justin Bonomo three-bet to 14,000 from the button and the remaining players got out of the way to send the action back to the cutoff. The player in the cutoff opted to click it up to 30,000 and Bonomo, after some consideration, released his holding, putting a small dent in his stack as he did so.

Reijmer Takes a Hit

Nível 12 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Daniel Reijmer
Daniel Reijmer

Daniel Reijmer opened to 6,000 from middle position and was three-bet by a player in the cutoff to 17,000. Steven Lerner in the small blind appeared to consider shoving his relative short stack but ultimately decided against it. Once action had folded back around to Reijmer he moved all in and was snapped off by the cutoff.

Cutoff Player: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Daniel Reijmer: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Reijmer had his opponent covered by some margin but was significantly behind. The {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop changed nothing except to give the cutoff player a gutshot to go along with his superior pair. No help was forthcoming on the {j-Spades} turn or {9-Diamonds} either, taking a good chunk out of Reijmer's previously large stack.
