Chad Eveslage opened to 3,500 in early position, Ali Imsirovic called in middle position, the button called, and Dan Shak jammed the small blind for approximately 60,000. Eveslage rejammed for 119,000, and Imsirovic called.
Dan Shak:
Chad Eveslage:
Ali Imsirovic:
It was aces versus kings versus queens, and Eveslage looked to be on the right side of the massive cooler.
The board ran out to change nothing, and Eveslage took the pot with his rockets. Meanwhile, Imsirovic took a hit but still holds one of the top stacks, and Shak was eliminated.
The 2021 Wynn Fall Classic ran from late September through November 21. During that time, more than 21,000 entrants competed and in excess of $25 million in prize money was awarded.
PokerNews was on-site to provide live updates from some of the marquee events including:
There was a slew of big side event winners throughout the series, which included Argentina’s Federico Castaine, who became the first six-figure winner of the 2021 Wynn Fall Classic after topping a 1,790-entry field to win the $1,600 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD NLH event for $361,180.
Another big winner was poker veteran Shawn Rice, who bested a 786-entry field to win the $1,100 NLH Seniors tournament, which nearly doubled its $400,000 guarantee by creating a $766,350 prize pool. Rice, who hails from Texas, took down $116,039 for his victory. It marked the second-largest score of his career, which dates back to 1994.
Meanwhile, players like David Brookshire ($550 H.O.R.S.E. $50K GTD for $29,110), David Jackson ($550 NLH $100K GTD for $46,033), Eric Mizrahi ($500 NLH $100K GTD for $41,025), and Fabio Freitas ($400 NLH for $21,182) all claimed titles.
With roughly 50,000 in the pot on a completed board, Sam Soverel bet approximately 55,000, Kitty Kuo folded, and another player went into the tank and called for the rest of their 45,000 or so chips.
Soverel tabled for quad fives and scooped the pot as his opponent hit the rail.
She's also active in promoting the game and helping other talented women achieve success in poker. Last week, she offered up an interesting contest for women with under $100,000 in total live Hendon Mob earnings. She will buy the poker player who won it into the $10,000 Wynn Millions $10 million guaranteed Main Event March 3-11.

Magnus posted a puzzle and the first eligible person to correctly answer it won. That individual is Alecia Ackred who has $2,175 in recorded live tournament cashes, per Hendon Mob. Ackred now has an opportunity to earn her first massive score if she can run deep in the Wynn Millions Main Event later this week.
As for Magnus, she's quickly becoming one of the top women in the game and ended Kristen Bicknell's streak of three straight GPI Female Player of the Year awards. Magnus, who has nearly $1.3 million in live tournament cashes lifetime, accepted her award at the Global Poker Awards earlier this month.
