Andrea Dato had carefully waited for a spot to get his chips in only to find his premium hand in pocket jacks dominated. Aliaksandr Shylko had the K♣K♦ and remained ahead all the way on the A♥4♣3♦A♣6♣ board.

Daniel Rezaei was next to fall. Having previously lost a showdown pot to Jonathan Pastore, he was in there for the last eight big blinds with pocket sixes. Eusebiu Jalba took the flop with the A♣K♦ and spiked one of the overcards on the K♥9♥7♠Q♠2♣ runout.

Sammartino Leads the River on Hallay

Hallay then raised to 200,000 on the button and Sammartino called. The river was the J♦ and Sammartino fired out another 400,000.

Hallay gave up his hand this time as Sammartino took the pot.

Mateos Proves Too Sticky For Desset

Action folded to Adrian Mateos who limped in from the small blind. Andrej Desset then raised to 85,000 and Mateos called.

The flop came A♣8♦5♥ and Desset continued for 55,000. Mateos called to the 3♥ turn, where Desset bet another 180,000.

Mateos again called and the 5♠ fell on the river. He checked for a third time, and this time Desset checked back as Mateos turned over Q♥8♥ for two pair to win the pot.

Angelou-Konstas Drawing Thin

Dario Sammartino had raised from the hijack and Ioannis Angelou-Konstas had called from the cutoff, creating a pot of 170,000. Sammartino then checked on the Q♦8♦K♠ flop before Angelou-Konstas made a bet of 135,000. Sammartino made the call and the 2♥ turn rolled off.

Sammartino checked again and Angelou-Konstas put in a bet of 200,000. Sammartino then put Angelou-Konstas all-in for 550,000 chips total, and the latter instantly made the call.

Tabacaru Wins Three-Way Pot Without Showdown

Ion Tabacaru raised to 55,000 and earned calls by Leon Sturm as well as Ruslan Volkov out of the blinds. It was Volkov who led the 10♠10♥7♦ flop for 50,000 and Tabacaru was the only caller.

After the K♦ turn, Volkov checked and Tabacaru bet 105,000, which won the pot without resistance as Volkov folded the 7♠6♠ face-up.

Amsellem Hits the Flop to Crush Verhoef

Miroslav Salaj raised to 55,000 in early position and Christian Rudolph and Jacob Amsellem both called. Leon Verhoef then moved all in for 550,000 in the small blind.

Salaj tanked for a minute before picking up his cards and slamming them down in the muck. Rudolph quickly folded, but Amsellem called.

Bogdanov Does Not Let Up

Andrea Dato raised to 50,000 as first to act. Yulian Bogdanov then made it 150,000 to go from the button and only Dato made the call.

The flop of 8♠7♣7♥ was checked by Dato before Bogdanov continued for 72,000. Dato called and did so too for Bogdanov's 165,000 bet on the 7♠ turn.

The K♣ river then arrived and Dato checked for a third time. Bogdanov continued his pressure and shoved all in, for Dato's 510,000 stack effectively.

Dato thought about it for a good while before making the fold, extending Bogdanov's chip lead as it passed the five-million mark.

Hallay Doubles Through Angelou-Konstas

Axel Hallay had 465,000 out in front with a single T-25,000 chip behind and Ioannis Angelou-Konstas on the button then reraised to get the blinds out of the way.

"Can I take one minute?" Hallay politely asked and the Greek nodded, as did other players at the table while the event was on a pay jump. Ultimately, Hallay called all-in and they were off to the races.

The most classic of coin flips saw Hallay it two aces on the A♣A♠5♥ flop.

"Queen on the river," he predicted. The 3♣ turn was a blank and so was the 6♦ river.

Hallay survived and next to fall from the same table was instead Julian Märgner, who had secured the pay jump after an elimination on a different table.

Kassam Comes From Behind to Double

Rehman Kassam had a three-bet of 225,000 in front of him from the button, leaving himself just 50,000 behind. Timo Kamphues in early position then moved all in and Kassam spent a few minutes looking at the tournament clock waiting for a pay jump before tossing in his last chips.
