Gicovanu, Klezys Bet Big on the River

Heads-up on a flop of 6♠2♣J♠, Marius Gicovanu bet 13,000 from early position and Omar Eljach called in the cutoff.

The turn came the J♦ and Gicovanu checked to Eljach, who bet 20,000. Gicovanu called and the 7♦ fell on the river.

Eljach then bet another 60,000 and Gicovanu this time came back with a raise to 190,000. Eljach smiled and nodded his head before mucking.

At the same time at another table, Kasparas Klezys led out for 65,000 from the big blind on a board of 8♣6♦Q♠Q♣ and [Removed:435] called on the button.

The river came the 8♥ and Klezys bet 170,000. Anastasakis gave it some thought but decided to muck.

Sander Doubles Through Nemeth

Oleksii Kovalchuk raised to 16,000 and Andras Nemeth three-bet to 60,000 in the small blind. Philipp Sander then four-bet jammed in the big blind for 158,000 and Kovalchuk folded. Nemeth pondered about his decision for a mere fifteen seconds and called with the far superior stack.

Saliba Bluffs Early

Arriving on a turn on the board of 5♠4♥8♦2♥, Vivian Saliba made a bet of 55,000 into the pot of 140,000 from the big blind. Her opponent was Arvydas Merfeldas in the cutoff, and he made the call.

The 7♣ river then completed the board and Saliba did not take long before moving all in, covering the 150,000 chips Merfeldas had behind.

Merfeldas was even quicker, with his call, however. Saliba tabeled her A♦2♠ for bottom pair, but Marfeldas had rivered a straight with his A♥6♥ and raked in a double-up in the early stages of Day 3.

Bilan Hits a Two-Outer to Triple

Paul Covaciu raised to 16,000 under the gun before Florin Bilan moved all in for 75,000 in middle position. Adrian Strobel called in the hijack, while Covaciu also called.

The flop came 9♣6♠2♠ and Strobel bet 80,000, chasing away Covaciu and leaving him heads-up with a chance to knock out Bilan.
