Rehman Kassam and Martin Wolf were heads-up on a flop of 5♦3♠9♦ when Wolf got his last 170,000 in the middle from under the gun and Kassam called in the big blind.
Martin Wolf: J♣9♣
Rehman Kassam: A♦3♦
Wolf had top pair, but Kassam held a pair and nut flush draw. The 9♠ turn improved Wolf to trips, but Kassam spiked the 10♦ on the river to make his flush and bust another opponent.
Robert Burlacu moved all in for around 120,000 in middle position and Rehman Kassam called in early position.
Robert Burlacu: 9♦9♣
Rehman Kassam: A♣Q♦
Burlacu's nines stayed in the lead through the turn on a board of 7♦K♦4♣2♥, but Kassam spiked the Q♠ on the river to make a pair and send Burlacu to the rail.
Weiran Pu moved all in for his last 170,000 in the hijack and was immediately at risk when Alex Keating called in the cutoff. The rest of the table folded, leaving Pu heads up on the bubble.
Weiran Pu: A♠Q♠
Alex Keating: A♦A♣
Pu ran into Keating's pocket aces but did pick up a flush draw on the 7♠K♦2♠ flop. He was unable to improve further on the 2♣ turn or K♣ river, as Keating took down a nice pot while Pu bowed out in 124th place.
All 123 remaining players are now in the money, with the tournament no longer hand for hand.
Bruno Desimoni opened the action with a raise to 25,000 in the hijack and Gab Yong Kim pushed all-in on the button for 205,000. Nils Pudel tanked for more than two minutes in the small blind, glanced over at Desimoni's stack and the tournament info before placing a single chip for the call, Desimoni folded.
The other tables finished their hands and the cards were revealed.
Gab Yong Kim: A♠K♥
Nils Pudel: A♦Q♠
There were some groans from bystanders when the Q♣ appeared in the window followed by the 8♣2♦. Nothing changed with the 3♣ since neither player had a club in their hand. The 2♥ fell on the river and Kim was eliminated two spots away from the money, the field is now on the stone bubble.
In a blind versus blind battle, Axel Hallay and Andras Nemeth went to the turn with the board showing 9♣7♦Q♠2♥ and 110,000 in the pot.
Nemeth bet 55,000 from the big blind and Hallay called to see the 2♣ river. Nemeth then fired out another 135,000.
Hallay spent a few minutes in the tank before calling. Nemeth showed 10♥8♥ for a missed straight draw and Hallay turned over A♠10♦ for just ace-high to win the pot.
Ruslan Volkov raised from the button and Nacho Barbero jammed 310,000 from the small blind. Volkov quickly called, and the cards were tabled once all the other tables had finished play.
Nacho Barbero: A♣Q♣
Ruslan Volkov: K♥J♥
It looked good for Barbero on the 4♠4♣5♦2♥ runout, but the K♦ saw Volkov river the best hand.
"I knew it," Barbero stated as he packed up his belongings and left the tournament area.
Armin and Daniel Rezaei went heads-up blind versus blind to the river with the board showing 3♠4♣6♣3♦Q♦ where Daniel led out for 85,000.
Armin then raised to 300,000 as Daniel went deep into the tank. A few players at the table couldn't help but laugh at the situation the two brothers were in as Daniel continued to consider the decision.
He eventually folded after around three minutes. "Show the bluff to your brother," Jonathan Pastore said, but Armin returned his cards face down.
"Nice fold," Armin said, tapping Daniel on the shoulder.
The previous hand at this table, Adrian Mateos had bet 32,000 on a flop of 2♠9♦4♥ and Stefan Hulin called in the hijack, as did Daniel in the big blind.
The turn came the 7♦ and Mateos fired out 175,000. Hulin then moved all in and both opponents snap-folded.
With around 140,000 in the pot on a board of 4♠7♦Q♥K♠, Daniel Rezaei bet 135,000 from the cutoff and Matas Cimbolas called on the button.
The river came the 2♥ and Rezaei moved all in. Cimbolas snap-called for his last 330,000 and turned over 7♥7♣ for a set. Rezaei, though, had K♣K♦ for top set to bust Cimbolas just short of the money.
Armin Rezaei was just moved to this table directly to the left of his brother.
"You can ask not to play with each other," Jonathan Pastore said.
"It's even more fun because we go super-hard against each other," Armin replied.
"I would bubble my own mother. There's no friends at the poker table," Daniel added.
Keneshka Kabir and Tamas Adamszki had arrived on a flop of 2♠Q♦6♠. With 91,000 chips in the middle, Kabir checked from the small blind, and Adamszki bet 65,000 from the big blind.
Kabir made the call and the A♠ turn rolled off. Kabir then inquired about Adamszki's stack before leading for 275,000, the vast majority of Adamszki's stack.
Adamszki quickly mucked and Kabit showed the J♦ to indicate he could not have had a flush.
