The World Series of Poker Europe is back in the King's Resort in Rozvadov and a total of 15 gold bracelets are up for grabs until November 15, 2023. In the next two days, the first champion will be crowned in Europe's biggest poker arena in Event #1: €350 NLH Opener.
The tournament came with a €1 million guarantee, which was surpassed thanks to a staggering 3,503 total entries across more than half a dozen starting days at the King's Casino in Rozvadov and Prague. Each of the flights played down to the money as some 15% made it through since October 25, all securing their share of the €1,048,272 prize pool.
That whittled down the field of survivors to 378 and they all combine to a single field today when Day 2 kicks off at 2 p.m. local time. Overall chip leader is Giorgi Imnadze from Georgia with 650,000 followed by Mircea Stanescu (600,000) and Marko Kotnik (584,000).
Among the big stacks is also two-time WSOPE bracelet winner Emil Bise, who made it through with a very healthy stack of 513,000. Bise has celebrated his biggest successes at this very venue and cashed for more than $800,000 in WSOP events, earning another two WSOP Circuit gold rings.
