Welcome to Day 1 of the Event #10: €25,000 NLH Platinum High Roller

After the schedule change at the 2021 World Series of Poker Europe, Event #10: €25,000 NLH Platinum High Roller has become the most expensive tournament of the entire series. Some of the biggest names in the world of poker are expected to join the fray in the biggest poker arena in Europe at the King's Resort in Rozvadov.
The two-day tournament will feature a starting stack of 500,000 and levels of 40 minutes each for the entire duration of the event. Unlimited re-entries are allowed during the registration period, which is currently foreseen to last for the first 14 levels and thus until Day 2. The start for Day 1 has been pushed back from noon to 1pm local time and there will be a hard stop at 10m local time in accordance with the restrictions of the Czech government.
In 2019, the same tournament attracted a field of 83 entries to create a prize pool of €1,971,250. Aussie High Roller regular Kahle Burns won his second gold bracelet of the festival back then after he defeated Sam Trickett in heads-up. However, neither of them have been spotted at the King's Resort so far.
Certain to take a shot at the coveted hardware are Sirzat Hissou and Joni Jouhkimainen, the latter of which narrowly missed out on his first WSOP bracelet one day ago when he finished second in Event #7: €5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. Martin Kabrel is also expected to take a shot at a third career bracelet at the venue that has brought him most of the accolades in the world of poker thus far.
