Triple Up for Filatov

Nível 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Martin Kabrhel raised to 10,000 and Tomas Knespl three-bet to 40,000, Anatoly Filatov called all in for 38,000 and Filatov called.

The two remaining active players checked the {9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and {4-Spades} turn. Kabrhel min-bet the {8-Diamonds} river for 6,000 and Knespl folded.

Filatov showed {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Kabrhel was second-best with the {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

Right after Jack Sinclair was moved to the vacant seat next to Kabrhel and brought his hippo with him.

Filatov remarked "small hippo small stack, big hippo big stack" as Kabrhel's hippo was sitting on a big pile of chips.

Vieira Gets Three Streets

Nível 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joao Vieira raised it up in the cutoff and was called by two players. The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and the action checked to Vieira who continued for 11,000. Manuel Bulut in the small blind was the only one who stuck around after the flop.

The turn brought the {5-Clubs} and Bulut check-called another bet of 38,000 from Vieira. The {q-Spades} completed the board and Bulut checked for the third time. Vieira reached back for a bet of 108,000 this time and Bulut looked him. Vieira flipped over {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for the nut flush and Bulut was forced to muck his cards.

Livingston's Shot at Another Deep Run Comes to an End

Nível 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Alex Livingston was coming off his largest career tournament score when he made a deep run in the WSOP Main Event this summer in Las Vegas, ultimately finishing in third place. He was hoping to work some of that magic again at the WSOP Europe, but thanks to Anton Morgenstern, his tournament came to an end late on Day 2.

With around 75,000 chips in the middle already, the flop of {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} was spread across the table. Livingston checked to Morgenstern who bet 35,000 and Livingston check-raised all in for 223,000.

"I have a good feeling about this one," Morgenstern spoke up before dropping in a call. Morgenstern showed {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} but was behind Livingston's {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

His good feeling came true on the {8-Spades} turn card as Morgenstern made a straight. Livingston wasn't drawing dead yet with two pair but the {q-Clubs} on the river spelled an end to his WSOP Europe Main Event.

Hasenberg Busts to Kristeller

Nível 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Hasenberg
Michael Hasenberg

The biggest pot of the tournament so far has sent Michael Hasenberg to the rail while Martin Kristeller joined the chip millionaires amid some confusion while the hand played out.

On a heads-up turn of {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Spades}, Hasenberg in middle position checked and Kristeller in the cutoff fired a bet of 91,000. Hasenberg made the call and near-instantly shoved the {9-Hearts} on the river. He engaged in table chat with Kristeller and mentioned that he thinks Kristeller has pocket kings.

One and a half minutes passed, mostly filled with words going back and forth between the duo, and suddenly Joao Vieira called the clock. Kristeller was surprised by that but tossed in a single chip for the call with a few seconds left.

Hasenberg turned over {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for a rivered set of nines and Kristeller had that beat with {a-Spades}{6-Spades} for a straight. The stacks were counted and Hasenberg was covered by a small margin as Kristeller had a stack of 406,000.

Once all was done, Vieira and Kristeller spent the next few minutes talking about the hand itself.

Set-Over-Set for Foxen to Bust Kaimakamis

Nível 13 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

A more than half a million pot unfolded in the table of Alex Foxen and Vangelis Kaimakamis. Kaimakamis was in the blind against Alex Foxen who was under the gun and the board was reading {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Foxen had bet 39,000 and Kaimakamis answered with a shove for 264,000. Foxen tanked for a couple of minutes but finally called with {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} which was a huge favorite over Kaimakamis' {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

The Greek player had only one out in the river and the {7-Clubs} sent him to the rail, while Foxen is back up to the top 10 biggest stacks of the day.
