Madsen Sends Leow to the Rail

Nível 5 : 250/500, 0 ante
Ivan Leow
Ivan Leow

Ivan Leow ran his stack back up to more than 30,000 before another unfortunate setup saw him clash with Jeff Madsen. On the flop of {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} they got it in and Leow held {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for two pair. Madsen had him dominated with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} for top set and faded the back door straight with the {10-Clubs} turn and {6-Spades} river run out.

Sturz Busts Chen; Faces Him Again

Nível 4 : 200/400, 0 ante
James Chen
James Chen

With some 18,000 in the middle and the turn showing {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{J-Diamonds}, James Chen was all in for 16,000 and Markus Sturz gave it some thought before making the call.

James Chen: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Markus Sturz: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

The {7-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Chen was eliminated, re-entered and drew the very same seat again.

Lee Busts and Re-Enters

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Xixiang Luo and Hokyiu Lee
Xixiang Luo and Hokyiu Lee

The cards were already on their backs and Hokyiu Lee was all in and at risk with the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} of Luchezar Pumpalov. Presumeably, the chips had gone in after the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop or the {Q-Spades} turn, and the {8-Hearts} river was a blank.

An annoyed Lee jumped out of his seat, splashed his chips to the middle of the table and re-entered soon after to get a seat one table over. Aleksandar Denishev entered the competition and sat down on the seat that formerly belonged to Lee.

Luo Doubles Through Zaskodny

Nível 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Lukas Zaskodny
Lukas Zaskodny

Michael Soyza and Xixiang Luo just took a seat at the end of the previous level and the latter scored a big double against Lukas Zaskodny. The defending champion called a bet of 16,000 on the {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds} turn and checked the {A-Hearts} on the river. Luo moved all in and Zaskodny called after brief consideration.

Luo tabled the {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for the nut straight and Zaskodny mucked {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a set of aces on the river. After paying off Luo for 14,350, Zaskodny was left with around 4,000, just one tenth of the starting stack.
