On a board the clock had been called on Jozef Micoch with Tobias Hausen and Fabio Esposito all in. Eventually after counting down the seconds, Micoch called.
Jozef Micoch:
Tobias Hausen:
Fabio Esposito:
The turn was the and the river the giving Hausen an unlikely straight.
Hausen was 2.7% to scoop the Hi portion of the pot, needing running straight cards that wouldn't complete Esposito's flush.
In a brief lull in the tournament, and with Ismael Bojang the centre of attention due to him multi-tabling the Omaha Hi-Lo event and the flight of the Colossus, Allen Kessler was overheard commenting on the quality of the field.
"He's the best," said Kessler, referring to Bojang, "He's number one.
Kessler got out of his seat and looked around. "He's number two," he said, pointing at Andreas Klatt. "And he's number three," pointing at Dario Alioto."
We'll have to wait and see how Kessler's picks get on in the rest of the tournament.
