While Kenny Hallaert, Aylar Lie and Leonardo Armino just registered and sat down, Neil Crilly took down a nice pot towards the end of the first level. Crilly was in the big blind and his opponent checked back the 
river. Crilly was somewhat upset he could not get more value out of 
for flopped top set, but is nontheless off to a good start.

Drolsun's Nightmare with Pocket Kings

The first casualty of Day 1c is Vemund Drolsun. The Norwegian got involved in a raising war in a battle of the blinds with Yohan Zenou and both players already had multiple bets in when Drolsun made it 4,575 from the small blind. Zenou, who had chipped up early, clicked it back to 11,000 from the big blind and Drolsun moved all in to receive a snap-call.

Alex Foxen had just sat down when he faced a raise to 200 by Salvatore Camarda. Foxen three-bet to 600 and Muhamet Perati as well as Camarda called. On the 
flop, Camarda checked and Foxen bet 900, which saw Perati raise to 2,900. That forced out Camarda, while Foxen called.
After the turn a second flush draw arrived and Foxen checked, Perati bet 5,600 and Foxen moved all in to see Perati call with a near identical stack.

Baric Barely Warms His Seat Up

Ivan Baric just sat down in his seat and opened to 200 from early position. He was called by three players and the flop came 
. The action was checked to Baric who continued for 6,00 and Georgios Vrakas raised to 2,000 directly to his left.
The small and big blind folded and the action was back on Baric. He re-raised to 6,000 and Vrakas shipped all-in for 17,025. Baric instantly made the call and tabled 
for a straight. Vrakas turned over 
for a set of nines and would need to pair the board to stay alive.

"There are only Norwegians here," Ziermann joked after the hand was over, and indeed plenty of the Scandinavians are taking part on day 1c of the MONSTER STACK.

Controversy for Castelluccio

More than 5,000 were already in the middle with the completed board showing 
and Sergio Castelluccio bet 3,900.[Removed:108] from two seats over raised to 11,000 and Castelluccio initially thought he was just being called, then exposed his cards briefly. Castelluccio's cards were not dead yet, but he had to decide whether to call for a decent portion of his remaining stack or not.
"You seem so confident," the Italian said and ultimately folded, revealing his in the process. Mir didn't show his cards to the table but let Castelluccio peek at one of them while raking in the pot.
