Joshua Marvin and Benjamin Pollak arrived at Table 724 when their former table broke, and Pollak joined fellow Frenchmen Valentin Messina and Alexandre Reard. In fact, he sat down right next to Reard.
After that, the next few hands didn't provide much action. Messina claimed two hands post-flop, then Scott Stewart raised to 380,000 from the small blind. Reard called in the big blind, and the flop came . Stewart continued for 330,000, and Reard called before doing so again for 675,000 on the turn. The river was checked by both, and Stewart showed , Reard chopped it with .
The next hand, Stewart raised from the button, and Pollak defended the big blind. The Frenchman checked the flop and called a bet of 280,000 from Stewart. Neither the turn nor the river provided any action, and Pollak's won him the pot with a flopped flush.
With about 1,000,000 in the pot and the board reading , Justas Vaiciulionis bet 375,000 from the hijack after Richard Gryko checked from the big blind. Gryko then check-raised to 1,175,000, and Vaiciulionis called. The river was the , and Gryko bet 3,140,000. Vaiciulionis mucked his hand.
Benjamin Pollak opened to 360,000 in the cutoff. Travis Lutes shoved for 1,560,000 in the small blind. Big blind Valentin Messina re-raised to 2,900,000. That made Pollak fold face-up.
Lutes:
Messina:
The flop missed Lutes but left him with a couple of outs to chop. The turn was a brick, as was the river.
David Guay raised to 500,000 on the button, and Marcel Luske defended his big blind.
The flop came . Luske checked, and Guay bet 450,000. Luske quickly called. The turn was the , and both players checked to the on the river. Luske led out for 900,000, and Guay asked, "Are you serious?" He went into the tank for about a minute and eventually called.
Valentin Messina raised to 425,000 from the cutoff, and Scott Blumstein three-bet to 1,330,000 from the button. Messina gave him a stare but elected to fold.
In the second hand back from the break over on Table 724, Jonas Mackoff moved all in, and Blumstein asked for a rough count but folded rather quickly. Once the action was on Scott Stewart, he asked for an exact count, and Mackoff was all in for 2,110,000. Stewart called, and the cards were turned over.
Jonas Mackoff:
Scott Stewart:
"Close one. With ace-ten, I guess you snap-call," Mackoff said, and Stewart nodded.
The flop provided chop outs, but the was not a good card for Mackoff. The river secured the split pot, and Mackoff said, "Bad turn, good river."
Michael Ruane raised to 500,000 from early position, and Ben Lamb defended his big blind.
They checked to the turn of the board, where Lamb bet 625,000. Ruane called, and the river completed the board. Lamb checked, and Ruane checked behind.
Lamb showed for a missed straight draw, while Ruane tabled for kings and nines to win the pot.
