Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Shyam Srinivasan
Shyam Srinivasan

Zu Zhou raised in early position, and Shyam Srinivasan three-bet to 275,000 from the cutoff. The remaining players folded, and Zhou called.

The flop came {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, and Zhou checked. Srinivasan bet 175,000, and Zhou called. On the {8-Spades} turn, Zhou checked again, and Srinivasan moved all in. The dealer counted his stack at 1,065,000, and Zhou called.

Srinivasan: {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Zhou: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Zhou had turned two pair, tens and eights, and Srinivasan needed a king to win the hand. The river was the {6-Diamonds}, and Srinivasan's run in the Main Event came to an end.

Zhou collected the pot, which put him over six million chips.

Pantling's Kings Are Good

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

In the last hand of the level, Wesley Pantling raised to 110,000 from early position and Damian Salas three-bet to 290,000, which Pantling called. On the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{5-Spades}, Pantling checked and subsequently called a bet of 190,000 by Salas before checking again the {6-Diamonds} turn. Salas fired a second bet worth 380,000 and Pantling called.

The {5-Diamonds} river paired the board for the second time and Pantling checked again quickly. Salas took his time before checking behind and mucked once Pantling flipped over {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

Rachid Ben Cherif Doubles Through Charlie Carrel

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Rachid Ben Cherif
Rachid Ben Cherif

Rachid Ben Cherif opened with a raise to 125,000 from middle position. Charlie Carrel defended his big blind.

On the {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, Carrel checked Ben Cherif, who bet 140,000. Carrel called. The turn was the {7-Hearts}, and both players checked. On the {J-Clubs} river, Carrel checked again, and this time, Ben Cherif moved all in for just under 500,000. Carrel went into the tank. He leaned over his neighbor to get a better look at Ben Cherif.

"If I know this guy, and I do, he's got ear tells," Carrel said. "It's blinkin'. It's twitchin'."

Carrel leaned back, then cut out the amount needed to call, shuffling chips very quickly between his fingers.

"These ear tells are crazy," Carrel said. Finally, he decided to call.

Ben Cherif showed {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a rivered set. Since Ben Cherif was all in, Carrel was also forced to show his {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for just bottom pair.

"His ear was twitching!" Carrel shouted in his defense.

Ben Cherif doubled up, while Carrel fell to just over three million.

Jonathan Dwek

Jonathan Dwek moved all in for his last 830,000, and Kenny Shih moved all in over the top. Dwek was on his feet, decked out in his Superman costume, at risk with {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} and flipping against Shih's {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

The flop came {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, and Dwek paired his king to take the lead. The turn was the {6-Hearts}, and the river was the {k-Clubs}, giving Dwek the double for which he was looking.

Schmiess Loses Flip to Dipascale

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

After a raise by Joseph Dipascale in the small blind and a three-bet by Barry Schmiess to 275,000 in the big blind, Dipascale moved all in, and Schmiess called all in for far less.

Barry Schmiess: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Joseph Dipascale: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Schmiess was in the lead, but that only lasted until the {K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop. The blank {9-Diamonds} on the turn was followed by the {A-Diamonds} on the river, and Dipascale claimed the pot with aces and kings.

Phillips Eliminated by De Meulder

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Matthias De Meulder raised from the hijack, and Samuel Phillips moved all in for 1,185,000 from the button, which the Belgian called to put his opponent at risk.

Samuel Phillips: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Matthias De Meulder: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, and since neither player held a club, the ace-high was good enough for De Meulder to claim the pot.

Massman Chips Up with Kings

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Well over a million chips were already in the middle after a four-bet pot that saw Jingwei Zhang, from early position, and Alex Massman, on the button, head to a {4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. Zhang checked, and Massman bet 650,000, which Zhang called. Both then checked down the {Q-Spades} turn and the {10-Diamonds} river, and Zhang was first to show, flipping over {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Massman had that beat with {K-Clubs}{k-Spades} and raked in a big pot.

Guay Wins with Ace-King

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

David Guay tossed out a bet of 175,000 on the turn of a {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} board, and his heads-up opponent, Jack Sinclair, called. The river was the {5-Spades}, and after thinking for a moment, Guay fired again, this time for 425,000. Sinclair took a few moments before tossing in the call and mucked when Guay tabled {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} for top two pair.

Hans Joachim Hein Runs into Kings

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Robin Hegele raised to 125,000 from under the gun and got calls from players in early position, middle position, and late position. Paul Vas Nunes was in the cutoff and three-bet to 550,000. Hans Joachim Hein was on the button and moved all in, and the initial raiser plus the three callers all folded. Vas Nunes snap-called.

Hein was at risk with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, up against Vas Nunes' {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The flop came {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, and Hein paired his queen to give him some more outs to survive. The turn was the {8-Hearts}, and the river was the {6-Diamonds}, sending Hein to the rail and adding yet another elimination to Vas Nunes' tally.
