The player dropped into the tank and thought for a couple of minutes before he folded face up.
"You gotta show the royal," one of Esfandiari's neighbors said.
"I didn't have a royal," Esfandiari replied. "I wish I had a royal." Esfandiari then looked in the direction of his opponent. "The river saved you money."
"You must've had a big hand then," he replied.
After that hand, Esfandiari moved past 80,000 chips.
The board read and Matt Stout looks to have check-raised all in. His opponent had a bet of 3,000 in front of him and Stout made it 14,800 total. His opponent eventually called with a straight, but Stout won the hand with a flush, holding .
Michael Graffeo raised from early position and picked up calls by Nick Petrangelo on the button and Jonathan Lawson in the big blind. On the flop, the action checked to Petrangelo and he bet 2,000. Only Graffeo called and the duo checked the turn. Graffeo also checked the river and Petrangelo checked behind to muck once he was shown for a flush by Graffeo.
