Brant Hale raised from the hijack and James Obst defended his big blind.
They drew one and checked twice, before drawing one apiece on the final draw. Obst was first to act and he bet. Hale made it two bets. Obst then made it three bets and Hale called.
Obst turned over for the second-nut badugi and took down the pot. In doing so, he joins Jesse Martin on a stack of around 800,000.
James Obst opened. Jesse Martin made it three bets from the big blind. Martin stood pat while Obst took one. Martin bet and Obst called.
On the second draw, Martin stood pat while Obst drew one. Martin bet again and Obst called. Martin stood pat a third time while Obst took one again. Both players then checked.
Martin showed and his seven-five was good to take down the pot.
Action was on the final draw and both Jared Bleznick and James Obst drew one and Bleznick checked to Obst who bet. Bleznick then made it two bets. Obst deliberated before eventually calling.
"Good call. Pair," announced Bleznick showing a pair of threes and Obst won the pot with .
Brant Hale raised from the button. Jesse Martin folded his small blind. Chris Bjorin made it three bets from the big blind. With action back on Hale, he called.
Bjorin took one while Hale took two. Bjorin led out and Hale called.
On the second draw, Bjorin stood pat while Hale took one. Bjorin bet and Hale tanked for about a minute before calling, leaving only about 15,000 behind.
On the last draw, Bjorin stood pat again and Hale took one. Bjorin bet and Hale called for the rest of his stack. Bjorin showed but Hale had drawn out. He showed for a better eight-seven and that was good to earn the double through Bjorin.
Terry Jennings raised, only to face a raise to three bets from Brant Hale. Jennings called.
On the first draw, both players took one card. Jennings bet and Hale called. On the second draw, both players stood pat. Jennings checked to Hale who bet. Jennings called for the remainder of his stack.
Both players stood pat again. Jennings showed but Hale showed and that was good to take down the pot.
After starting the day as the chip leader, Jennings will exit the tournament in sixth place, taking home $17,272 for his efforts.
