It’s fitting that, in the inaugural $2,500 Big Bet Mix, someone will win their first World Series of Poker gold bracelet. Each of the final tablists has a story to tell and we’ll start with the chipleader:

Jens Lakemeier comes into the day with 702,000 and is looking for the second-biggest live score of his career, which he can achieve with a win. Lakemeier has three tournament wins on his poker resume: in pot-limit Omaha, five-card hi-lo, and eight-game mix, and will be looking to secure the biggest profile win of his career to date.

Jerry Wong has 680,000 chips and has two WSOP final tables to his name. Most famous for making the 2016 November Nine, where he finished eighth, Wong has close to $3M in live earnings and will be looking to add to that with victory today.

Jason Stockfish with 514,000 chips has two runner-up finishes at the WSOP. Last year he finished second in the $1,500 Eight Game Mix while this year less than one month ago he finished second in the $565 Pot-Limit Omaha. Stockfish will be looking to take down this tournament and go that one step further and secure his first WSOP gold bracelet.

Ashton Griffin has 232,500 in chips and is looking for his first WSOP final table since 2013. His deepest run came one year previously when he finished fifth in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw event for $55,482.

Andrew Kelsall has three final tables on his WSOP resume and has 185,500 in chips. This year, he has two including a third place in the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.

Kenneth Fitzgerald is the short stack at the table and will come back with just 143,000 in chips. With just over $60K in lifetime earnings, he looks set to add to that with a deep run today.

Stay tuned to PokerNews throughout today to see who will be crowned the victor in the $2,500 Big Bet Mix.
