Abdel Hamid

Stud Hi-Lo

Barry Greenstein was betting with {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} on fifth street, battling with short-stacked Abdel Hamid who had {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts} out. Hamid called, and called another bet when Greenstein paired his nine on sixth.

Hamid was left with just 19,000 and Greenstein fired on the river. Hamid thought he was beat, but he knew he had only a micro stack behind. He stood up, studied the boards, and called, saying: "Good game, Barry."

Abdel Hamid: {K-}{5-}{4-} / {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Barry Greenstein: {10-}{7-}{6-} / {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Hamid was thinking out loud about Greenstein having aces up, but he had even stronger hand, announcing a straight.

Omaha Hi-Lo

From the hijack, Esther Taylor raised to 30,000 and both Alex Luneau and Larry Tull called from the button and big blind, respectively.

The flop fell {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and the action checked to Taylor who bet 15,000. Luneau folded but Tull check-raised to 30,000 and Taylor called.

The turn landed the {A-Hearts} and Tull bet 30,000 before Taylor moved all in for her last 35,000 with Tull calling.

Taylor: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs}
Tull; {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The river landed the {10-Diamonds} and, with Taylor unable to improve to a full house, she would be eliminated in 13th place for a $8,650 payday as Tull climbs to 820,000 in chips.

Sorgen Doubles with Boat over Boat

Nível 21 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

There were many bets lying in front of Mikhail Semin and John Sorgen when they approached sixth street. Sorgen ended up all in and, while the process brought some confusion, Semin ended all discussions, saying, "It's OK, I call."

Sorgen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} / {2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{A-Hearts}
Semin: {5-}{4-} / {4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{5-Spades}

While Semin had a strong hand, it was a frustrating showdown for him. Semin's full house was topped by Sorgen's, and the Russian player had only a thin chance to escape the damage. Semin hoped for the remaining five, but he peeled another river card instead, leaving Sorgen with a double.
