Over at Table 38, David Peters has taken his seat in this tournament. Arguably one of the best tournament players in the world, Peters was finally able to cross a WSOP bracelet off his bucket list by winning this event last year.

Peters topped a field of 1,860 entries to claim the first-place prize of $412,557. With over $17M in lifetime winnings, the defending champion will have all eyes on his as he shoots for his second gold bracelet.

The player under the gun opened to 400, then Chance Kornuth called from middle position. Both blinds called as well, and the flop came .

The player in the small blind bet 850. The big blind three-bet to 2,000, causing the player under the gun to fold. Kornuth tank-called the reraise, and the small blind also stuck around with a call.

The turn came the and was checked around. The river then completed the board and it was checked to Kornuth who bet 4,500. His opponents folded.

''That's about the worst turn card in the history of turn cards,'' commented the player in the big blind.

''You can't fold a straight to this man,'' responded one of his tablemates.

''I'm glad I didn't shove that flop, I thought about it,'' added the player in the big blind.
