David Ives
David Ives

David Ives raised from the button and faced the three-bet of Gina Bacon on the button for 275,000. Once the blinds got out of the way, Ives moved all in and Bacon quickly called.

Ives: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Bacon: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Ives sighed immediately after the cards were revealed and he found no help on the board of {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} to join the rail in 21st place for $20,890.

Rodriguez Bullies Licastro Out of a Big Pot

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Eluterio Rodriguez
Eluterio Rodriguez

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Eluterio Rodriguez and Anthony Licastro were involved in a pot. From the small blind, Licastro put out a bet of 100,000 and was raised to 250,000 from Rodriguez from the big blind. Licastro called.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Licastro put out another bet of 250,000. Rodriguez quickly moved all in for 1,335,000 and Licastro went into the tank. He thought for several minutes before he finally released his hand, showing his {Q-Diamonds} face up as he folded.

Rodriguez then opted to show his {Q-Clubs}, and eventually decided to turn up his {6-Diamonds} as well, showing that he had two pairs.

"If I didn't have ace-queen, I wouldn't even think about it," Licastro said. "Even if I had aces I would have to think about it."

That pot pushed Rodriguez over the 2 million-chip mark.

A Small Dent in Heimiller's Stack

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Harvey Lewis pushed all in for 385,000 from the hijack and Dan Heimiller called out of the big blind.

Lewis: {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Heimiller: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The flop of {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} gave Heimiller an additional flush draw, but Harvey spiked the {9-Hearts} turn and {4-Hearts} river to come from behind and get the other flush and double.

Value for Bacon and Klein

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Gina Bacon was spotted betting 200,000 on the river of a board {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and Mansour Alipourfad in the blinds check-called to show {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Bacon had that beat with {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and raked in the pot.

Over on Table 708, Dieter Dechant defended his big blind against the raise to 100,000 by Bill Klein on the button. On the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Dechant checked and so did Klein. After the {2-Hearts} turn, both players checked as well and the {A-Hearts} river completed the board. Dechant bet 75,000 and Klein raised to 235,000, which Dechant called.

"You got it," Klein said, and Dechant turned over {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs} for trips to scoop the pot.

Paul Evans Eliminated in 20th Place ($20,890)

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Paul Evans
Paul Evans

Paul Evans pushed for what appeared to be 400,000, and Bill Klein called to see both players turn over aces with decent kickers.

Paul Evans: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Bill Klein: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop was of no help, but Evans picked up some outs on the {J-Spades} turn. Evans initially celebrated, but just for a heartbeat, when he spotted the {Q-Spades} on the river. That very same card completed the straight for Klein, and Evans was eliminated in 20th place for $20,890.

We missed the action, but according to Dan Heimiller, Sean Byrne moved all in for a little bit less than 200,000, and Heimiller called.

Heimiller was holding {6-}{6-}, while Byrne was holding {5-}{5-}. The board ran out safe for Heimiller to secure the elimination. Byrne took home $20,890 for his 19th-place finish.

Kelley Brown Eliminated in 18th Place ($26,148)

While the other two tables racked up their chips already to prepare for the upcoming two-table redraw, there was one hand still going on, and the dealer announced, "Seat open."

Kelley Brown walked away from the table, while Bill Klein sent the second opponent in a row to the rail. Brown pushed from under the gun for 400,000 with {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, and Klein called in the big blind with {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}. Klein hit trip aces, and Brown failed to get there with a diamond flush draw, becoming the first player to receive $26,148 for his efforts.

Spitzberg Shoves Again

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

There were several players with 20 big blinds or less that tried to run up their stacks before the dinner break.

One of them was Paul Spitzberg, and he just pushed for the second time. Federico Castaing was the initial raiser for 100,000, and Spitzberg shoved for 735,000 on the button. Castaing folded, and Spitzberg chipped up.
