Torelli check-called for 250,000 on the 10♠8♦9♣ flop, before leading out for 500,000 on the 8♠ turn. Laborda called and the 5♦ completed the board.

Torelli moved all in as the big stack, and Laborda went into the tank. He began counting out his stack of 1,370,000 before settling on a fold.

Scroggins Gets a Fold

Anirban Das opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and was called by Daniel Scroggins on the button. Clemen Deng then three-bet to 720,000 out of the big blind, forcing a fold from Das but getting called by Scroggins.

Deng continued for 350,000 on the 3♦K♦Q♣ flop and Scroggins just called.

The J♠ hit the felt on the turn, prompting Deng to check to Scroggins, who fired off 1,050,000. After considerable thought, Deng waved the white flag to put a significant dent in his stack.

Silver Survives a Flip

Nate Silver raised to 160,000 in middle position and Tony Dunst called from the button. Nikita Luther then shoved all in from the big blind, Silver called for his last 2,335,000, and Dunst folded 7♦7♣.

"Gotta win some flips," Silver said heading to the K♥8♥3♣ flop, which gave him top pair and the lead. The board ran out 9♦6♦ and the FiveThirtyEight founder doubled up while leaving Luther as a short stack.

Tardif Hits Quads For the Good of Ontario

The flop landed Q♦10♠3♣ to improve Tardif to a set but to give Dyachenko hope with a Broadway draw. That hope was crushed as the Q♥ peeled off on the turn to give Tardif quads and the 7♣ river changed nothing to earn him a double.

"At least if you win, it will bring people to Ontario," Dyachenko said optimistically.

Andrew Dea raised it up from the small blind and Toby Lewis called from the big blind. The flop came J♣J♦6♠ and Dea led out with a bet of 230,000. Lewis called and the A♣ landed on the turn.

Dea counted out another bet of 625,000 and Lewis stuck around for the 2♠ on the river. Dea checked this time and Lewis jammed all in for 1,480,000. Dea asked for a count but decided to send his cards to the muck.

Vohra Takes From Dai

The action was picked up in a pot of close to 2,000,000 on a flop showing K♥9♣2♣. Shang Dai bet out 450,000 from the hijack and Raj Vohra raised to 1,100,000 on the button.

Dai went deep in the tank, but after close to a minute, made the fold and Vohra scooped the sizable pot.

Kiefer Is Out

Poker content creator Matt Kiefer had a fantastic run that saw him making Day 5 to lock up his biggest-ever career cash.

Unfortunately, Kiefer's run has reached an end as he was seen getting up from the table in his green Seattle SuperSonics jersey.

Kiefer will need to schedule another flight as his original flight out of Las Vegas left yesterday.

Paytas Scores Double Up; Akanuma Hits The Rail

The action was picked up when all the chips were in the middle preflop between Yuichi Akanuma and Nathan Paytas, who was the player at risk for his last 1,380,000.

It was a coin-flip preflop, but when then board ran out Q♠J♣3♣2♣7♠, it was the eights that held up for Paytas to score the double up and leave Akanuma short.

On the next hand, Akanuma shoved for 705,000 in early position and it folded to Logan Hoover on the button who made it 1,600,000 to go. The blinds got out of the way and the cards were shown.
