"The One"

Nível 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Derek Normand
Derek Normand

"This is the one, this is going to be a good one," Derek Normand said as he called PokerNews over before the hand even started. "Just make it known that I have singlehandedly gotten the table drunk."

The action began with a preflop raise from Scott Harrison to 3,800 and Normand made the call out-of-position to see a flop of 24J.

Normand checked to Harrison who continued for 5,000 and Normand snap-called to see the K on the turn.

Harrison then upped his bet to 10,000 and Normand check-called once more to see the 5 fall on the river.

Normand checked again to Harrison who tossed out the same bet of 10,000 and this time Normand paused to think about it for a bit. After a good thirty seconds, he tossed in the chips for a call and was then shown KK for a turned top-set of kings.

"Wow, did you even know that the club hit? Did you even see it? Or did you just not care.." Normand mucked his cards as the substantial pot was pushed over to Harrison.

"Any three-year-old can play kings," he shook his head at Harrison, who responded with, "Not every three-year-old can get value like that."
