While winning a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet is one of the greatest accomplishments a poker player can achieve, many of the greatest and most successful players in the game have yet to put one on their wrists.

PokerNews has had a decent track record with highlighting players without bracelets who have gone on to win them. Jason Koon won a maiden bracelet in 2021 after making the "Best Without a Bracelet" list that year, while Dan Smith and Alex Foxen both found bracelets in 2022 to be removed from that year's list.

With the 2023 WSOP happening now, here's a look at some of the best players who have yet to add a World Series bracelet to their long lists of accolades.

Celaya Doubles Up Through Armbrust

Nível 30 : Limits 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

John Celaya found himself as the short stack when action resumed in Level 31, but found a good spot to get in his chips.

John Armbrust, the second biggest stack at the table, raised preflop with JJ. Action folded to Celaya, who was in the big blind with KQ and made the call.

The flop of Q109 brought fireworks after Celaya checked. Armbrust bet, then Celaya check-raised. Armbrust responded with a re-raise with an open-ended straight, and Celaya moved all in and ahead with top pair.

The 6 came on the turn, followed by 3 on the river to give Celaya the win.

Baker Hits Straight To Survive

Nível 30 : Limits 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

David “ODB” Baker found himself all in as the short stack on the big blind.

Action folded to Raul Celaya in late position and he called with J7. The button folded, and John Armbrust raised after looking down at AK. With Baker already all in, the action returned to Celaya, who called.

The flop brought 10K6. Armbrust bet, forcing Celaya out of the hand

Baker tabled QJ for an open-ended straight draw against Armbrust’s top pair. The turn provided A, giving Baker the straight and Armbrust top two pair.

Baker needed to dodge Armbrust pairing either of his cards on the river, and he survived when 2 hit the board.

Vangchailued Doubles Through Shlez

Nível 30 : Limits 100,000/200,000, 0 ante

Action folded to Chairud Vangchailued in the small blind who raised with AK and was called by Vadim Shlez in the big blind holding K7.
