Angelina Rich opened from under the gun, and found only Michael Mcnicholas on her way.
On Q♦K♦5♥, she check-raised to 380,000. McNicholas, who bet 125,000, called. Then the turn 2♥ came, and Rich moved all in for 840,000 chips. Mcnicholas counted his stack, and called.
Angelina Rich: A♦2♦
Michael Mcnicholas: K♣J♣
Rich needed a diamond to complete her flush. And she had one, thanks to the river 4♦. She doubled her stack to 2,700,000 chips.
Action was picked up on the flop. The board read 10♦4♥4♦ and Evgenii Fidchuk was all in and at risk against Ian Matakis who covered.
Evgenii Fidchuk: A♦7♦
Ian Matakis: K♠10♠
Matakis was ahead with two pair, tens, and fours while Fidchuk was drawing to either an ace or a diamond. The board ran out 9♣9♥ and Fidchuk was eliminated from the tournament while Matakis added to his stack.
Before the blinds went up, Cody Jones opened to 120,000 from under the gun, then was raised to 330,000 by Brandon Lulov in the cutoff. Action back to him, Jones moved all in and Lulov called.
Brandon Lulov: A♥A♣
Cody Jones: Q♠Q♥
Lulov had a slightly smaller stack than Jones, but a much better hand. So on J♠3♠5♠6♠5♣, he doubled up to 3,600,000 chips.
Down to half a million chips, Jones folded his blinds, and had only 350,000 chips remaining when he pushed all his stack in the middle on the button. In the big blind, Lulov knew he had no choice but to call.
Cody Jones: K♣4♠
Brandon Lulov: J♥8♥
The suspense didn't last long as Jones hit a king on the flop on 10♥A♣K♦2♠6♣. Thanks to this double up, Jones is back to 900,000 chips.
Michael Colbert opened to 2,000,000 from the button leaving approximately 400,000 behind. Ryan Leng moved all in with a covering stack and Colbert quickly made the call.
Michael Colbert: 6♥6♦
Ryan Leng: J♥J♠
Colbert was in bad shape versus Leng's superior pocket pair. The flop came 8♠2♠5♣. Colbert picked up more outs on the 4♠ turn but the 2♦ river was a blank. Colbert was eliminated from the tournament and Leng scooped another sizable pot.
Almost simultaneously, an "all in and call" situation occurred at every table.
At Table 675, the action was caught on the turn on 7♥8♥10♠8♣. Daniel Lazrus bet 200,000 chips. Tyler Cornell, in the cutoff position, raised to 525,000 chips, and Lazrus called.
When the river card K♠ was revealed, Cornell went all in, and Lazrus hero called with J♦10♦. "I have ace high," Cornell said, revealing A♣6♣. He had to give an additional 725,000 chips to Lazrus, who doubled up.
On table 676, Ryan Leng opened from the cutoff, and Brandon Lulov on the button, as well as Cody Jones in the big blind, called. On the flop 7♣3♠10♦, Jones pushed all in with 325,000 chips. Leng folded, and once again, Lulov had no option but to call.
Cody Jones: 9♠8♠
Brandon Lulov: A♣8♣
Jones had a straight draw on the flop and a flush draw after the turn card K♠. The completion of the flush draw came with the river card 7♠, allowing Jones to double up once more.
Lastly, at Table 686, Pedro Garagnani and William Stanford raised each other and both players went all in on the flop 2♠8♥4♠, creating a pot worth 6.6 million chips.
Pedro Garagnani: K♠8♠
William Stanford: 6♠5♠
Both players had a flush draw, but Garagnani's draw was stronger. The A♣ on the turn did not changer the situation, but the 7♠ on the river completed Garagnani's flush, leading him to claim this massive pot.
