Israel's Eran Carmi leads the final 28 players heading into Day 3 of the 2023 World Series of Poker Event #62: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

The 28 finalists are all that remain of a record-smashing field that saw 2,076 players, up from 1,234 players in 2022’s contest. That field created a total prize pool of $2,771,460, with each of the returning players guaranteed a payday of at least $13,936. A winner will be crowned later this evening and will take home $410,659 and the coveted gold bracelet for their efforts.

Carmi, a WSOP circuit ring winner, comes into the final day having bagged 4,255,000 in chips, with Charles Honkonen right behind with 4,160,000.

The final player to bag over 4-million and rounding out the top three is Belgium’s Bart Lybaert, who finished the day with 4,050,000. Lybaert has over $3.5 million in career cashes and will be looking to add a WSOP bracelet to his resume.

Bracelet winners Robert Mizrachi (3,100,000) and Upeshka De Silva (3,165,000) also bagged top ten stacks and will be hoping to add to their hardware as well.

Players looking to spin it up today include the ever-polarizing Martin Kabrhel (1,070,000), who had a very swingy day and by far the most clock calls, as well as bracelet winners William Leffingwell (1,075,000) and Shai Zurr (1,275,000).

With the money bubble breaking at the end of Day 1, the bust outs in the first part of Day 2 were fast and furious, seeing the likes of Patrick “Barny Boatman” Leonard, the actual Barny Boatman, Shaun Deeb, and Jared Jaffee all hitting the payout desk.
