Moss Melted by Mozdzen

Nível 24

Badeucey

A short-stacked Frederic Moss was already all-in and drew one card on the final draw while Clayton Mozdzen patted. The latter showed the 7542 for a made seven-dugi while Moss was at risk with the inferior 9542. The 6 for Mozdzen changed nothing for him but Moss bricked with the 3 to finish in 20th place.

Hellmuth Eliminated by Sagle

Nível 24
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Badacey

Phil Hellmuth raised under the gun and got three-bet by Jason Sagle in the small blind. Hellmuth then moved all in for 84,000 and Sagle called.

Sagle drew one while Hellmuth needed three.

On the second draw, Sagle again drew one, while Hellmuth laughed at his misfortune, saying he had picked up trip aces. He turned AA8 face up and discarded them.

On the final draw, Sagle still drew one and Hellmuth went into the tank for his drawing decision, showing 10752A. He decided to pat and hope for half.

Sagle showed 6432 for at least a better three-card Badugi, and then after the dealer gave him the 7 to complete his hand, Sagle held a seven-low as well to scoop the pot and end the 16-time WSOP bracelet winner's first chase for number 17.

Hellmuth circled the table, shaking his opponents hands, then made his way over to other friends still in the field before leaving the tournament area in 21st place.

Pupillo Busts Concha With River Suckout

Nível 24
Luis Concha
Luis Concha

Big O

The cards were already on their backs and Luis Concha was visibly disgusted, mumbling a "that was a one outer" when he was sent to the payout desk by Nick Pupillo in cruel fashion.

The AQJ53 of Concha had turned a flush on K929 while he was up against the AAK52 for two pair by then. What followed was the A river that brought the case ace and Pupillo improved to aces full to score the final blow.

Brown Takes a Big Hit as Johnson Claims Three Quarters

Nível 24

Big O

Three ways to the AJ37 turn, Andrew Brown bet the pot for 180,000 out of the small blind. Luis Concha folded in the cutoff before James Johnson got it in from the button for Brown to call.

James Johnson: A10742
Andrew Brown: AK942

The river was a blank as Johnson's nut low with aces and sevens earned three quarters of the pot for his stack of 427,000.

Kost Gets Short; Doubles Through Eveslage

Nível 24

Omaha 8 or Better

Paresh Doshi check-called a bet by Nick Kost on the 753 in a three-bet pot before both then checked down the K turn and 2 river. Doshi tabled the A863 and scooped as Kost only flashed an AxJx2x.

Soon after, Kost raised and Chad Eveslage defended the big blind, then check-raised the AQ8 flop for Kost to call-in for 41,000 total.

Nick Kost: A653
Chad Eveslage: QJ97

Kost asked for low cards and received them with the A turn and A river.

"Those are low," he said with a very dry voice.

Roeder Over a Million With Elimination of Gluszko

Nível 24
Ryan Roeder
Ryan Roeder

Badeucey

Facing four-way action, Tomasz Gluszko was all in from the hijack for his last 30,000.

On the first draw, Ryan Roeder drew two in the small blind, as did Andrew Kelsall under the gun and David Levi in the cutoff.

Roeder then bet and got calls from both remaining opponents with chips. He then patted while Kelsall, Gluszko, and Levi each drew two.

Roeder bet again which now shed Kelsall, but Levi stuck around with a call.

Roeder patted again, while Gluszko took one and Levi patted. Roeder continued betting and Levi called a final time to see Roeder show 76432 for an outstanding hand of a seven low and a seven-four-three-two Badugi.

Neither opponent could beat it and the huge pot went to Roeder, while Gluszko went to the payout desk.

Racener Closing on a Million

Nível 23

Big O

Picking action up on the river with 430,000 already built in the pot (215,000 each), and a board of 35JQ2, Dominick sarle checked from the hijack to John Racener who bet 60,000.

Sarle looked frustrated as he tanked for over a minute before tossing his cards toward the muck to send a huge pot to racener just before break.

Hellmuth Doesn't "Take the Next One"

Nível 23
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Phil Hellmuth: 32 / A295 / 9
Matthew Schultz: A8K9 / 754

Phil Hellmuth bet a favourable board against Matthew Schultz, who called from fifth and sixth street once Hellmuth had declared twice "'l'll take this one, you take the next one". He had 2,000 behind for seventh street and Schultz also called that, too. As the cards were eventually exposed, Hellmuth was certain to scoop as he revealed nines up with a nine-five low.

However, the other players at the table pointed out the superior eight-seven low of Schultz to win the low portion of the pot which left Hellmuth rather upset. He once more mentioned to be on tilt and then got it in soon after in the same variant against Nacho Barbero.

Phil Hellmuth: 66 / 4588 / A
Nacho Barbero: Q53 / 5Q49

Again, Hellmuth was the aggressor and all-in after seventh street once more. Barbero showed his queens up and now Hellmuth had to squeeze the final card. "I have sixes in the hole," he revealed and showed those cards first.

Slowly peeling the last card, Hellmuth spiked an ace to survive with the superior eight-six low.
