James Clarke raised under the gun to 250,000, David Stearns called from middle position, as did Gunnar Wedde in the cutoff, and Shawn Stuart in the small blind.

The flop came 1095. Stuart started proceedings by open jamming for 1,525,000. Clarke flat called the bet as did Stearns who called off for his last 1,100,000.

Gunnar Wedde then re-jammed over the top for 4,850,000. The action was back on Clarke who got several counts before finally deciding to call.

Sheffield Bombs the River

Action folded to seven time bracelet winner Billy Baxter in late position who opened to 250,000. It then folded to Keith Sheffield who defended his big blind.

The 87A flop landed and Sheffield check called a bet of 250,000 from Baxter. The turn brought an A and action checked through. The 4 landed on the river and Sheffield opted to put out a sizeable bet of 700,000. Baxter thought it over for a bit but ultimately folded.

Sheffield took a sizeable pot off the legend to gain some ground in chip count.

Hurlbut Gets a Fold From Tran

The pot stood at 760,000 as two players were looking at a flop of J310. Rodney Hurlbut, in the big blind, checked the action to Thong Tran on the button who bet out for 430,000. Hurlbut called.

The turned 10 checked through to the 5 on the river. Hurlbut jammed for his last 705,000 and Tran went into the tank.

Tran eventually folded after some time, showing the A as he did so. Hurlbut took down this pot.
