Men Nguyen Among the Big Names to Bag for Day 2 in Seniors Championship

Records have been broken once again at the 2023 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. This year’s Event #48 $1,000 Seniors No Limit Hold’em Championship has attracted a field of 8,180, comfortably the biggest of all time, beating the previous record of 7,188 set in 2022.

With such a vast turnout, it has created a juicy prize pool of $7,280,200, with the winner receiving a staggering $765,731 and, of course, the coveted World Series of Poker Gold Bracelet. A total of 1,227 of the returning 1,624 players will get paid on Day 2 with a minimum cash of $1,607.

The chip leader from Day 1b is Joseph Workman, who not only topped the second flight's chip counts but leads the remaining players going into Day 2.

Plenty of WSOP bracelet winners have appeared today, including Men Nguyen (169,000), Mike Allis (157,500), and Barny Boatman (67,500), who have all bagged for Day 2.

Play will resume on June 23 at 10 a.m. local time in Horseshoe's Red, Orange, and Blue sections. The action will resume at Level 12 with the small blind at 1,000 and a big blind of 2,500 with a big blind ante of 2,500. It is anticipated that the bubble should burst within the first couple of levels of play.
