"I feel the elusive check-raise coming," Serino said, as the flop came 4♥8♠9♦. Serino checked, but only called his opponent's bet.
Serino then checked once more on the A♦ turn. His opponent bet, and Serino again only called.
The river came 7♥ and both players checked. Serino turned over K♦J♠.
"Aw, pip city!" said his opponent, revealing Kx10x for a worse kicker.
"I couldn't check-raise with just a king," said Serino.
