Loucas Survives the River to Stay Alive

Patrick Mccullough raised to 26,000 in early position and Julien Perouse called in the small blind before Christian Loucas jammed his entire stack into the middle from the big blind. Mccullough quickly got out of the way and Perouse went into the tank.

"How much is it?" Asked Perouse. After the dealer let him know it was 216,000 he thought about it for a bit longer. "Can I show my hand?"

The floor denied the possibility of showing his hand before he made the call.

Christian Loucas: 10♣10♥
Julien Perouse: 8♣8♦

Loucas had Perouse dominated as the flop came J♥6♦4♠. The K♥ was a safe one, even though Loucas still felt uneasy. "That's okay, It'll hit on the river. The river is always my demise."

However, the eight never showed up as the 9♥ landed on the river for Loucas to collect a full double up.

Wilson Breaks the Million Mark

Scott Wilson opened this pot to 20,000, called by Christopher Zenonos to his direct left and the big blind.

Three players saw the board of 8♣Q♥10♥. The action was checked to Zenonos who bet 40,000 which was first called by the big blind. However, Wilson had other ideas as he raised the bet up to 140,000. After Zenonos' call, the big blind stepped aside.

On the 3♠ turn Wilson bet 200,000. After minutes in the tank Zenonos folded allowing Wilson to surpass the million-chip mark.

Bartlett's Two Pair Gets Paid

Stephen Bartlett limped the small blind and William Nunley checked his option.

The dealer fanned a flop of 10♣4♠3♦ and Bartlett check-raised the bet of 10,000 to 26,000. Nunley made the call.

The J♦ hit the turn and Bartlett continued for 20,000. Nunley paused for a brief moment and tossed in the call.

When the 9♠ completed the board, Bartlett continued with a bet of 40,000. This time Nunley tanked for about two minutes before sigh calling. Bartlett tabled 10♥9♥ for two pair and Nunley tossed his cards into the muck.

As retold by Ryan Tillmann, he opened under the gun to 24,000 and Michael Sabbia defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of Qx9x8x and Sabbia check-called a bet of 22,000.

The 5x landed on the turn and Sabbia checked once again before facing a bet of 66,000. Sabbia eventually let his hand go and showed the Jx9x for a pair of nines. Tillmann tabled that he was playing his 6x6x extra aggressively as he raked in the pot.

Perez checked to Wilson who continued with a bet of 17,000, which Perez called. Perez checked the 6♥ turn over to Wilson who this time bet 70,000, and Perez once again called.

The 3♥ river double-paired the board and Perez checked to Wilson one last time. Wilson thought for a moment before announcing all-in and Perez quickly released his hand, allowing Wilson to add to his growing chip lead.
