Neiman Doubles Up with Straight Flush

“Straight Flush!” a player yelled across the room. “I hit a straight flush.”

As PokerNews arrived at the table, 4♥5♦6♥9♠8♥ was in the middle and at least three players were standing taking photos of the board.

An excited Phil Neiman had 7♥5♥ in front of him, while his opponent had 8♣7♣ showing, he flopped the nut straight, which Neiman vanquished on the river.

The dealer was pushing the pot to Neiman as he turned to explain the action.

According to Neiman, there was three-way action after the flop. A player in front of Neiman bet 3,200 and then Neiman said he raised to 15,000 on his combination draws. The player to his immediate left, who flopped the nut straight, then went all in, Neiman said.

It was an easy call for Neiman, who had multiple outs with his combination draw. His excitement showed with a large smile.

Don't Bluff Brito

On a heads-up turn of 6♥3♦J♥8♦, Frederic Robert bet 2,500 after a check from his opponent, Fernando Brito.

Brito made the call and the duo went to the river K♠ which saw another check from Brito and Robert fired again for 6,500.

Brito thought about it for a few seconds before flicking in the call.

"Ugh, you're good," Robert said as he flipped over 9♦10♦ for a bricked straight and flush draw. He was then shown A♦4♦ by Brito for a missed flush as well but his ace-high was good to win the pot.

Reid Continues to Rise

With 5,000 in the middle at the turn with the board reading K♥10♥9♦2♥, Terrance Reid bet 2,000 into three other players from under the gun. The button and big blind folded, but the small blind called.

The 7♦ completed the board and Reid bet 7,000 and got a call from the small blind. Reid tabled A♥7♥ for the nut flush and he now has more than triple the starting stack.

There was 7,000 in the middle on a flop of A♥7♥6♦ and the cutoff bet 2,000. Charles Hervas in the big blind moved all in for 20,800.

The cutoff went deep into the tank and seemed hesitant to throw their cards in the muck. However relief appeared on their face when Hervas revealed 7♣6♣ for bottom two pair and took in the pot.

Anooshahr Heats Up Action at His Table

It didn’t take long for action to take off at Table 253 just a few minutes into Level 5 after the break ended.

Mehdi Anooshahr raised 1,500 in early position, and his bet created a domino effect. The player to Anooshahr’s immediate left three-bet to 3,500, which prompted the player next to act to four-bet all in for his remaining 15,000.

After action folded back Anooshahr, who had his opponents covered, he five-bet to 28,000, which forced out the player to his immediate left. Now heads up, both players remaining in the hand tabled their respective cards.

The dealer fanned 5♠6♠J♣ on the flop, keeping Anooshahr ahead. The 6♥ appeared on the river, and Anooshahr still had to dodge his opponent pairing either of his cards.

Anooshahr put a hammerlock on the hand when 8♦ showed up on the river to give him a full house, which sent his opponent to the rail.

Andrews went into the tank for a bit before she finally elected to fold and the pot was awarded to Chen, who then showed the 3♠.
