Rios Gets Max Value With Quads

Nível 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

In a heads-up pot with 22,000 in the middle on a flop showing K84, Mario Arribas checked from the small blind to Dorian Rios in the hijack who checked back.

The 10 hit the turn and Arribas checked again to Rios who tossed out a bet of 12,000. Arribas made the call and the pair saw the K river.

Arribas checked a third time and Rios moved all in, covering the 17,400 remaining for Arribas, who went deep in the tank.

After close to three minutes, Arribas flicked in a chip for the call and the cards were shown. Rios happily rolled over KK for quads and Arribas tabled QQ as he made his way to the exit.

One year removed from a rough summer, Daniel Negreanu is fighting his way back to within striking distance in the Player of the Year race — sort of — and he's doing so with large field event success.

At the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP), the Poker Hall of Famer lost $1.1 million and was never in contention for Player of the Year. He isn't really in contention yet this year, but he isn't too far off from getting to that point.

Skhulukhia Sends Opponent Packing

Nível 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,500. Action folded to the cutoff who stuck in a three-bet to 3,700. Giorgii Skhulukhia in the big blind and the early position player both called to see a 25A flop.

Skhulukhia and the early position player both checked to the player in the cutoff who led out for 3,500. Skhulukhia thought momentarily before settling on a check-raise in the amount of 11,100.

The early position player seemed to wince as he folded what appeared to be a strong hand, to put action back on the cutoff. After a minute of consideration, the player announced all in and put his chips forward.

Skhulukhia quickly called and the cards were on their backs with two cards to come.

Cutoff: AJ
Giorgii Skhulukhia: 55

The player in the cutoff needed help in the form of running cards but when the Q hit the turn, he was drawing dead as the dealer put the inconsequential 2 out on the river to make his exit official as Skhulukhia collected the pot.
