Menhinick Freerolls to a Double

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player opened to 6,500 from early position and was called by a player one seat over as well as Lane Menhinick in middle position.

The early position player promptly moved all in for around 45,000 following the 29A flop, forcing one of his opponents out of the hand but not Menhinick, who called off with the effective stack.

Lane Menhinick: AK
Early Position Player: AK

Though at risk, Menhinick could not be eliminated and was freerolling holding the superior diamond. The J turn provided a significant sweat for the early position player, needing to fade a diamond to chop the pot. The backdoor draw did in fact come in after the 7 river improved Menhinick to the ace-high flush to hand him more than a full double while leaving the initial raiser with crumbs and a dejected visage.

Low's Chip Count is High

Nível 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Tyng Low
Tyng Low

Action folded to Tyng Low in middle position who opened to 3,000. It folded to the big blind who three-bet to 10,500. After some thought Low made the call.

Off to a flop of JA9 and the big blind put out a bet of 7,500. Low made the call.

The 6 rolled off on the turn and the big blind slowed down and checked. Low took his time and wagered enough chips to put the big blind player all-in.

After a long tank the big blind opted to call off and the hands got tabled.

Big Blind: QQ
Tyng Low: AJ

The 9 river brought no help and Low scores a knockout in a big pot.

At a nearby Table we see Alex Foxen and Chance Kornuth take their seats.

Brenes Asks For It All

Nível 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A player opened to 4,000 from middle position and action folded around to Humberto Brenes in the small blind, who moved all in for 41,000. The big blind got out of the way to send the action back to the middle position player. With his opponent appearing to lean towards a fold, Brenes threw out a slight needle, saying "you need the chips." Far from coaxing a call out of the middle position player (if that is even what Brenes was attempting to do) his words had the opposite effect as the big talking old school pro showed he still has a few speech tricks up his sleeve.
