Seidel Scoops; Zappulla Next to Fall

Nível 17 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 0 ante
Paul Zappulla
Paul Zappulla

With several players holding severe short stacks, James Obst and Bryce Yockey chipped up with the former earning a full scoop.

Erik Seidel also won a decent pot off John Hennigan when his AJ54 rivered the nuts on the KQ459 board to get one more bet from Hennigan.

The same table then saw the all-in of Paul Zappulla for one full bet only from the cutoff, earning calls from Alan Sternberg and Brad Ruben out of the blinds. Both active players checked to the KJ2AK river on which Sternberg check-folded to Ruben's bet.

In showdown, Ruben revealed the K987 for trips kings and Zappulla was eliminated with the AQ53.

A Lot of Chops; One Scoop and One Bustout

Nível 17 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

With several players on fumes below two big bets, it was Dan Shak who got scooped over on table 144 when his aces were cracked by two pair and a low. The same table saw Christopher Stephan misread his cards as he declared queens up on the Q927A river when he checked last to act.

Kyle Ray announced aces up for Stephan to table his cards and show the Q977. He then profusely apologised as he noticed the set of sevens and raked in the entire pot against Ray and Jay Kerbel.

In the meanwhile, Craig Chait saw his stack reduced to a mere 20,000 and he then chopped in a three-way pot with Bryce Yockey and Pascal Leyo.

All-in again shortly after for a severe short stack, Chait got looked up by Kyle Cartwright and Yockey. They checked down to the 97253 river and Cartwright showed his AQ43 for a wheel. The 10942 of Chait was no good and the AK85 of Yockey earned no portion either.

Pascal Leyo
Pascal Leyo

Erik Seidel raised from early position and was called by Ben Lamb in middle position. Pascal Leyo was down to his last big blind and tossed it in from late position, creating a side pot between Lamb and Seidel.

The flop rolled out J3K. Lamb raised a bet by Seidel and Seidel called. The 9 fell on the turn and this time Seidel slowed down with a check. Lamb bet and once again Seidel called.

The river brought the 10, completing the J3K910 runout and both players checked.

Pascal Leyo: A432
Erik Seidel: AK82
Ben Lamb: K743

Lamb would take the whole pot with two pair, kings and threes, sending Leyo to the rail in 23rd place.

Bendor Scoops to Leave Ray on Fumes

Nível 17 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Yarron Bendor three-bet out of the small blind and received two callers including Kyle Ray, who was then the only one to stick around on the A74 flop as James Chen folded. On the 3 turn, Bendor bet again for Ray to call, who also called another bet on the 10 river.

Bendor tabled the AA63 for a set of aces and low, which beat the A1083 of Ray to leave the latter on just over one big bet.

Becker Scoops Yockey

Nível 17 : Limits 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

On a board of Q5357, Johannes Becker bet all the way and was called by Bryce Yockey. When the cards were revealed, Yockey's AK65 earned just one quarter of the pot with half of the low as Becker's AQ65 had the same low and fives full of queens.

At the same time on table 143, Jason Daly scooped David Williams with a king-high straight to boost his stack, too.

Kyle Ray Eliminated in 22nd Place ($17,923)

Kyle Ray was all-in from the big blind and side action unfolded between Bryce Yockey on the button and James Chen in the small blind. Chen bet the 1085 flop for Yockey to call and the 4 turn brought the very same pattern. On the 2 river, Chen bet once more and Yockey raised to receive a quick call from Chen.

"Nut nut," Yockey announced and tabled the AK63 for the nut low and a six-high straight flush. Chen tossed his cards towards the muck while Ray tabled his A775 briefly, while the dealer retrieved Chen's A854 to conclude the showdown.

Ray bowed out just shy of bagging in 22nd place for $17,923.
