Hohner Doubles Through Li

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ryan Hohner was seen dragging in a double after he got it in for less than 100,000. Fred Li's cards were already in the muck while Hohner had {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} showing on a board of {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}.

Elsewhere at the same table, Dominick Sarle has chipped up near the 500,000 mark.

Coleman Felted by Kolev

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Maxx Coleman
Maxx Coleman

Maxx Coleman pushed all-in for what appeared to be 86,000 from an early position. Yuliyan Kolev moved all-in over the top in the cutoff and that isolated successfully, as it folded all around to Michael Bohmerwald who then forfeited his big blind as well.

Maxx Coleman: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Yuliyan Kolev: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

The {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} board kept Kolev in the lead and sent Coleman to the payout desk.

"You saved me, I had ace nine of hearts," Bohmerwald mentioned in the table chat.

Deyra Hits Wheel to Eliminate Garrett

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ivan Deyra
Ivan Deyra

Patrick Garrett was all in and at risk against Ivan Deyra, who had him covered.

Patrick Garrett: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Ivan Deyra: {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Garrett's sevens were still ahead after the flop of {2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}, though the {3-Diamonds} gave Deyra outs to a Wheel. Sure enough, the {4-Diamonds} arrived on the river to mark Garrett's elimination.

"Oh, shit! Nice hand," Garrett said as he saw the river card.

Around the same time, Michael Iannace was eliminated from the tournament.

Messick Cracks Kings to Double Through Bissinger

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Ryan Messick
Ryan Messick

Christopher Bissinger limped in and Ryan Messick raised to 24,000 out of the hijack. Robert Cowen called in the small blind and Bissinger then limp-raised to force folds.

"If you have two six there, I am impressed," Messick joked, referring to the hand in the big pot prior to the dinner break.

One hand later, Bissinger limped from under the gun again and Messick made it 24,000 once more. Dan Smith called, as did Christopher Chatman out of the big blind. Bissinger then limp-raised to 125,000 and Messick contemplated his option before he pushed for nearly half a million in chips.

Smith tank-folded, while Chatman quickly got out of the way.

Ryan Messick: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Christopher Bissinger: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

This time, Bissinger had a premium hand but failed to hold up on the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades} board. Messick doubled for 488,000 and soared about a million in chips.

Balleur Bluffs Into Boat

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Gaetan Balleur
Gaetan Balleur

Antoine Vranken was on the button in a heads-up pot against Gaetan Balleur in the big blind.

Balleur checked on the flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and called a bet of 16,000 from Vranken. The turn brought the {8-Spades} and Balleur led out for 35,000. Vranken called.

The river was the {k-Clubs} and Balleur bet 58,000 for most of his stack. Vranken snap-called. Balleur showed a bluff with {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Vranken tabled {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for eights full of kings to leave his opponent with crumbs.

Balleur had just 1,000 behind after posting the small blind and managed to spin it up when he got it in with pocket queens and held against ace-jack of an opponent.

Garza Scoops Solid Three-Way Pot

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Abbas Alikhani checked in the big blind and Alan Gibson bet 24,000 in the hijack. Raul Garza called on the button and so did Alikhani. On the {j-Clubs} turn, Alikhani checked and Gibson bet another 44,000, which this time was only called by Garza.

Gibson reluctantly check-called a bet worth 50,000 on the {6-Hearts} river and then mucked when Garza revealed the {q-Hearts}{j-Spades} for trips jacks.

Balleur and Asti Eliminated

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Michael Asti
Michael Asti

Gaetan Balleur limp-called all-in for the rest of his severe short stack with the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and was up against the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} of table neighbour Jonathan Woof. The kicker played on the {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} board to send the Frenchman out in 38th place.

Moments later, Michael Asti followed suit as he also found no help with a dominated ace. Fred Li emerged victorious with {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} against his {a-Spades}{9-Hearts} thanks to a board of {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} board and that brought the field down to the final four tables.

Li Eliminated by Chatman

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Fred Li
Fred Li

After he was moved tables, Fred Li lost a big portion of his stack and was then all-in soon after via three-bet shove out of the blinds for the last 108,000. He was called by the initial raiser Christopher Chatman and they were off to the races.

Fred Li: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Christopher Chatman: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop improved Chatman and he remained ahead throughout the {a-Clubs} turn as well as the {10-Clubs} river.
