Conniff and Madan Clash

Nível 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Asher Conniff
Asher Conniff

Mayank Madan made it 1,000,000 to go in the hijack and the action then reached Asher Conniff in the big blind. He took 44 seconds before three-betting to 2,800,000 and that sent Madan, who is sporting a Jaka Coaching patch, into the tank.

Madan reraised to 9,000,000 and Conniff called all in for 9,000,000 total.

Asher Conniff: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Mayank Madan: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop let both rails explode and the {q-Clubs} turn as well as the {7-Hearts} river brought no further surprise, as Conniff unwrapped another birthday present by the poker gods.

Diaz Gets a Chunk From Jorstad

Nível 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
David Diaz
David Diaz

David Diaz opened to 1,000,000 from the hijack and was called by both Espen Jorstad on the button and Brian Kim in the big blind.

The flop came {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and everyone checked. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Kim checked again, but Diaz bet 2,000,000. Jorstad took some time, then called. Kim folded to leave the river heads-up.

That river came with the {2-Diamonds} and Diaz bet 4,000,000. Jorsted called and saw Diaz table {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Jorsted mucked his cards and has lost over a quarter of his stack since dinner break.

Adrian Attenborough
Adrian Attenborough

Andres Jeckeln opened to 1,000,000 to middle position, Tom Kunze flatted in the hijack, and Adrian Attenborough raised to 4,700,000 in the big blind. Jeckeln folded and Kunze called.

The dealer put the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop onto the felt, Attenborough bet 2,000,000, and Kunze called.

The {a-Spades} landed on the turn, Attenborough bet 3,500,000, and Kunze let go of his hand.

Eames Doubles Through Krentzman

Nível 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
John Eames
John Eames

Evan Krentzman opened to 1,000,000 and picked up a single caller by the table short stack John Eames in the big blind. The {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop was checked by Eames, who then faced a bet worth 800,000 by Krentzman.

Forty-nine seconds later, Eames check-shoved for 4,825,000 and Krentzman asked for an exact count before making the call.

John Eames: {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Evan Krentzman: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

There was no uproar by the British rail for now when the cards were flipped over but that changed with the {7-Clubs} and the {3-Spades} river as Eames secured the double up.

Levy Chips Up Without Showdown

Nível 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante
Tzur Levy
Tzur Levy

Evan Krentzman made it 1,000,000 to go in the cutoff and was called by Tzur Levy, sending both players to the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. No betting action led to the {9-Spades} turn on which both checked once more. The {7-Diamonds} fell on the river and Levy now bet 1,800,000 after contemplating the move for 43 seconds.

It took Krentzman one second fewer to opt for a fold as two shorter stacks traded chips.

Only 24 players remain in contention and three of them already have a WSOP gold bracelet to their name in Espen Jorstad, David Diaz, and Kenny Tran.

They are now on a scheduled 75-minute dinner break and the action will resume at 8.18 pm local time. Below are some of the most notable hands in the last two-hour session at the tables.
