Lulov Sends Lococo VERY Deep Into the Tank

Nível 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo
Alejandro "Papo MC" Lococo

In a hand that lasted over ten minutes, Alejandro Lococo raised to 25,000 in the cutoff and was called by Rahul Rastogi on the button.

Brandon Lulov then three-bet from the small blind to 110,000. Lococo cut out and counted several hundred thousand chips in front of himself, then four-bet to 258,000.

Rastogi got out of the way and folded, then literally got out of the way as he stood up from between the two combatants.

More players at the table would stand or wander for a bit as Lulov went into the tank for a couple of minutes before five-betting to 475,000, leaving just over 900,000 behind.

Lococo then went even deeper into his personal tank as over the span of over five minutes while he deeply thought through his decision, he kicked off his slides, examined Lulov and his chip stack, stood up briefly then sat down again, examined Lulov further, then slowly stroked the thick hair of his beard below his bottom lip.

Ultimately, the 7th place finisher in last year's Main Event folded to send the dramatic pot to Lulov.

Cavelier Flops Full House, Calls Three Streets to Double Up to 2.4 Million

Nível 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

In a three-bet pot with about 140,000 in the middle, the board ran out {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Matteo Cavelier checked over to the button who continued for 80,000. Cavelier called.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs}, also putting a flush on the board. After considering for about a minute, the button once again fired, this time for 180,000. Cavelier took a minute before putting in the call.

The river brought the {3-Spades} and the button then overbet jam into the pot of roughly 660,000. Cavelier snap-called and showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for the flopped full house.

The button did not want to show but was forced to considering it was an all in situation. He meekly showed {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for king high.

Cavelier told PokerNews that he began the hand with about 1,200,000. His opponent was left with just 225,000 in his stack.

Ho Busts to a Wheel

Nível 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Abdullah Alshanti opened to 25,000 on the button before Kyle Ho three-bet to 80,000. Alshanti called.

The latter called a bet of 75,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop to see the {3-Spades} turn. Ho jammed for 185,000 and Alshanti called.

Kyle Ho: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Abdullah Alshanti: {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

The {a-Spades} spiked the river to give Alshanti a wheel, besting Ho's pocket jacks. Ho then made his way to the payout desk.

An Orbit with WSOP Main Event Chip Leader Zilong Zhang

Nível 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Zilong Zhang
Zilong Zhang

Hand One

Zilong Zhang opened to 26,000 and was called by the big blind. The players checked all the way down for the board to show {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Zhang won with his {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

Hand Two

Ali Imsirovic raised to 27,000 from early position and Zhang mucked from the cutoff.

Hand Three

Zilong Zhang opened to 26,000 from the hijack and was called by the cutoff. Zhang bet 21,000, 66,000 and 204,000 for the board to show {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. The cutoff called Zhang's river bet and then mucked after the chip leader took the pot down with his {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

Hand Four and Five

Zhang raised to 26,000 and everyone folded, the same thing happened the following hand.

Hand Six

Kyle Ho opened to 25,000 from under the gun and then called when Zhang made it 77,000 from early position. Ho check-called for 56,000 on the {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop before action checked through on the {a-Hearts} turn. Ho folded on the {a-Spades} river when Zhang bet 250,000.

Hand Seven and Eight

Zhang folded preflop.

Hand Nine

Nicholas Immekus opened to 25,000 from the hijack and was called by Imsirovic in the cutoff and Zhang in the small blind. Only Zhang called after Immekus bet 20,000 on the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop. The {5-Spades} turn checked through. Zhang then put his opponent all-in on the {3-Diamonds} river.

With around 175,000 behind, Immekus tank-called for his tournament life. Zhang rolled over his {9-Clubs}{3-Spades} for bottom pair and it was good. Immekus made the hero call with {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} and then found himself on the wrong side of the rail.

Imsirovic Takes Big Pot from Chip Leader Before Dinner

Nível 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ali Imsirovic
Ali Imsirovic

After Ali Imsirovic raised to 27,000 in early position, Zilong Zhang called in late position.

Jason Brauda then moved all in from the small blind for 205,000. Both potential executioners called and a huge pot was brewing.

With the tv crews now present and filming the action, Imsirovic and Zhang checked the {3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, then on the {4-Spades} turn, Imsirovic bet 220,000. Zhang then raised to 575,000 and after some deliberation, Imsiorovic called.

The river brought the {9-Diamonds}, and after Imsirovic checked, Zhang begrudgingly checked back.

Almost lost in the kerfuffle, Brauda tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, which wouldn't be enough to keep him in the tournament, as Imsirovic showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Zhang showed {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a bluff on the turn that turned into rivered showdown value.

Zhang said after the hand that pairing his nine prevented him from firing another bluff on the river.

Alex Keating
Alex Keating

Alex Keating opened to 30,000 on the button and Romain Lewis three-bet to 116,000 in the small blind. Keating called.

The {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop was checked to the {3-Hearts} turn. Lewis bet 78,000 and Keating called.

The {q-Diamonds} completed the board and Lewis checked. Keating moved out a bet of 400,000, which included a rack of soon-to-be colored-up yellow chips. "It's 400," Keating confirmed with his French opponent. Lewis thought about it, but ultimately folded to concede the pot without a showdown.

Loni Hui

On a flop of {k-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, Loni Hui had a bet of 75,000 sitting in front of her, and the small blind check-raised to 200,000. Hui countered with a reraise to 450,000 from the cutoff and the small blind announced all in. Hui quickly called off her stack of 1,075,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Loni Hui: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Small blind: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

Hui was in tough against her opponent's flopped set but the {6-Clubs} on the turn gave her some more outs with a flush draw. It was the {4-Clubs} on the river that got the eyebrows raised from the rest of the table as Hui managed to survive for a double-up.

Action started on the river in a heads-up pot. Jake Abdalla was in the big blind and looked at a board of {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

Abdalla led from the big blind for 50,000 into a pot of about 200,000. His sole opponent, Ramiro Petrone, raised to 225,000 from middle position.

Abdalla did think long before slamming down the call.

Petrone showed Abdalla the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}, Abdalla mucked, and Petrone took down the pot.
