Nick Vertucci

Hustler Casino Live's popular livestream show is taking a brief break while some of its stars are busy testing out tournament poker in the 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event. And many of them will enter Day 2 on Thursday or Friday with a healthy stack, including the show's co-founder, Ryan Feldman.

But no one from the popular livestreamed cash game show is off to a hotter start than "Wes Side" Wesley Fei, who turned his Day 1a starting stack of 60,000 all the way up to 300,000 before the session concluded, putting him among the chip leaders in the entire tournament.

Luo Makes the Right Call

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Brian Luo opened to 2,20 and only got called by the player in the big blind.

The dealer showed a flop of {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the big blind led out for 2,000. Luo took a minute and made the call. The same action happened on the {7-Spades} turn, this time for 5,500.

The {q-Hearts} completed the board on the river and the big blind shoved for his last 11,000. Luo went deep into the tank and ended up tossing a chip in the middle for the call. The big blind revealed {j-Spades}{2-Spades} for jack-high and Luo tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} to eliminate his opponent with a pair of sixes and take the pot.

Lofthouse Sees Quadruple, Makes Double

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Mark Lofthouse
Mark Lofthouse

Mark Lofthouse decided to get it all in with his last 13,000 and Jameson Voll quickly made the call, putting Lofthouse at risk.

Mark Lofthouse: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Jameson Voll: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

In this classic flip, Lofthouse was still in the lead with his pocket pair after the {6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, but on the turn {10-Hearts} he was lightyears ahead as Voll was drawing dead,

The river {10-Spades} was just overkill as it gave him quads, completely destroying Voll's ace-queen.

"Does that mean I get paid double?"Lofthouse joked as he gathered his new chips.

Oren on a Whirlwind Trip to Play the Main Event

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Paul Oren
Paul Oren

Paul Oren wasn't planning on playing the Main Event this year. He wasn't even planning on coming to the World Series of Poker this summer. He sits with over double starting stack on Day 2.

"I had FOMO watching my friend Scott Bohlman run deep in the 50k. I told my girlfriend I'm heading out there," said Oren.

The trip wasn't an easy one, though.

"I woke up in Lisbon on July 4th. I saw 32 straight hours of daylight that day." Oren flew from Lisbon to Dublin to Chicago to Vegas. After dealing with cancellations and delays, he hit the final hurdle in Chicago.

"They lost our luggage. Portugal told us they would push it through. I didn't have time to go home, so I just took a backpack and the clothes on my back," shared Oren. "Playing in the Main Event was a dream, I wasn't planning on it. I won the last $580 satellite."

Oren fought his way to get here, he'll try and run as deep as possible to keep the story alive.
