Mermelstein Doubles Through Eames to Move Up to 40 Million

Nível 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Aaron Mermelstein
Aaron Mermelstein

Andres Jeckeln opened to 650,000 in the hijack, John Eames flatted on the button, and Aaron Mermelstein raised to 3,000,000 in the small blind. Jeckeln folded and Eames called.

The dealer put the {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop onto the felt and Mermelstein continued with a bet of 2,600,000. Eames called.

The {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Mermelstein moved all in for 13,800,000 after a couple minutes of deliberation. Eames took over five minutes and squirmed in his chair as his decision lasted through the beginning of the break, and eventually, he put in the calling chips.

Aaron Mermelstein: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
John Eames: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The two players ended up getting the classic cooler in on the turn with Mermelstein ahead, and he avoided a queen as the {6-Clubs} completed the board to secure the big double.
