Yau Gets it Done With Two Barrels

Ethan "Rampage" Yau opened to 4,000 from middle position and found only one caller, the big blind.

The flop showed up and Yau down-bet 2,500 when his opponent checked. The big blind made the call.

When the came out, completing the flush draw, Yau bumped up the price to 10,000 and the big blind released his cards quickly.

One of the 2022 WSOP's most animated players has entered the event, Jimmy D'Ambrosio. With around 10,000 in the pot and a board of , D'Ambrosio was first to act and checked to his opponent in middle position who also checked.

On the turn, D'Ambrosio check-called a 3,000 bet.

Luke Martinelli saw his opponent bet 20,000 on the river in front of him. In position, Martinelli moved in 82,000, the large majority of his stack.

His opponent thought long enough that a player called the clock on him. Just before his countdown reached zero, he let his cards go.

The pot catapulted Martinelli to one of the top spots on the leaderboard.

Layne Flack Selected as 2022 Poker Hall of Fame Inductee

The late great Layne Flack, who passed away last year, was selected as the 2022 Poker Hall of Fame inductee during a Hall of Fame bounty event at the WSOP on Sunday afternoon.

"Back-to-Back" Flack beat out nine other talented nominees, all of whom are also deserving of the honor. The list of close calls include Matt Savage, Josh Arieh, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Kathy Liebert, Mike Matusow, Norman Chad & Lon McEachern, Michael Mizrachi, Brian Rast, and Isai Scheinberg.

"Nasty Nate" Silver Knocks Out Deeb's Second Bullet

Shaun Deeb jumped in for his second bullet to quickly run into a confrontation with Nate Silver.

Both players had got all their chips in the middle on an eight-high flop with two diamonds.

Deeb had flopped top pair, but Silver had a live over and the flush draw.

The turn drilled that draw when the third diamond came in, leaving Deeb drawing dead.

"Nasty Nate, that's his name now," said a tablemate.

Silver raked the pot and is now more than double starting stack.
