Event #74: $1,500 Bounty Pot-Limit Omaha continues this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. local time with 124 players returning for Day 2. There were 1,390 entrants on Day 1, with many of the entrants using their reentry option, creating a prize pool of $1,855,650.

All remaining entrants will have one eye on the $190,219 first-place prize, as well as the WSOP gold bracelet. Those still remaining in the field looking for bracelet number two are Patrick Leonard (368,000) and Alex Livingston (615,000), Connor Drinan (208,000), and Anthony Zinno (260,000) among others. Though current chip leader and British player Tamer Kamel (1,064,000) might have something to say about that.

With still 10 levels to play today, each 60 minutes long, there will be plenty of swings and changes in the chip lead as players try and add to their bounty stacks. Each player is given a $500 bounty chip, per knockout, that they can redeem for cash. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels with a 60-minute dinner break after level 21, six levels into the day.

Huge Pot Moves Amini Back Up

Nível 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Travis Pearson
Travis Pearson

After Amir Amini had dropped a little to around 1,500,000 from his peak of 2,200,000, he got right back up the leaderboard from a duel against Travis Pearson.

On a flop of {q-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Pearson had made it 60,000 from the button and Amini made it 191,000. They quickly got the rest of Pearson's chips in, totally around 900,000.

Pearson's cards weren't seen by PokerNews, but the table assured the reporter that Pearson had the nut flush draw.

It didn't go well for Pearson though, as Amini tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts} and the turn brought the {q-Clubs} giving Amini quads. The insignificant {4-Diamonds} came in on the river and busted Pearson.

In the next hand, it folded to Amini in the small blind. Whilst he was still gathering and setting down chips, the big blind Jay Harwood convinced him to limp call without looking, which he obliged. Harwood then potted it and Amini called.

The flop {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} drew a continuation bet from Harwood of 60,000, which Amini had check-called.

On a {7-Spades} turn, the action went check-check bringing in a {3-Clubs} river. Amini then lead for 205,000 and after Harwood went into the tank for a minute or two, let his hand go to award another pot to Amini.

Vivian Saliba Eliminated in 22nd Place ($6,835)

Nível 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Vivian Saliba
Vivian Saliba

Vivian Saliba has had another strong showing at a PLO event, after a 4th place in a WSOP $600 Deepstack event, she now has to settle for 22nd in this event.

The last lady standing had got in her {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} preflop against Nolan King's {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

The board was clean initially for Saliba but the river got her on {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Hearts} to trump her straight with a full house. Her finish is good for $6,835 plus any bounties she had accumulated during the day and on Day 1.
