One of the largest field non-Hold’em events of the 53rd World Series of Poker kicks off Friday with the start of Event #7: $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better.

Aside from last year, which saw some limited fields due to travel restrictions and the pandemic, this event has historically drawn over or close to 1,000 entries year after year, generating some massive prize pools and top prizes.

As such, the event attracts the crème de la crème of the mixed game world, which will be no different this year as they gather in the Paris ballroom for Day 1.

Connor Drinan is the defending champion, having defeated a still strong field of 607 runners to take home his second WSOP bracelet.

Players will start with 25,000 chips at blinds of 100/200 with limits of 200/400.

PokerNews will have you covered for all the action from this and every bracelet event of the summer, so keep your browser locked to us for all the excitement from the new home of the World Series of Poker at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas.

Early Multi-way Action for Greenstein

Nível 2 : 300/600, 0 ante

With several bets in the middle on a turn board of {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, on the button, Barry Greenstein called a bet from the cutoff. The small blind came along as well.

The river brought the {j-Spades} and again the cutoff was first to bet. Greenstein called and the small blind folded.

The cutoff showed {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the nut flush and the high, while Greenstein showed {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} for a wheel to claim the low and get his half of the small blind's contribution to the pot.
